Schaub's entire argument for how good he thinks he is revolves around Big Nog, Cro Cop and Arlovski. Three relics, and he lost to one of them. Rogan is 100% right. Schaub is delusional and is only in for more beatings if he can't hump someone's leg for 3 rounds.
Rogan usually says the dumbest sh*t in the world on his podcast but he brought the lols this time

No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

lol he made sure to add the word heavyweight to cover his bases. People are completely arbitrary as to when they say someone has taken enough damage to consider retiring. Most people calling for his retirement including Joe and Callen are just jealous of him, and want to play a role in knocking him down a peg.
This would be the equivalent of people telling Frank Mir to retire after getting finished by Brock Lesnar. yeah he took a beating, and yeah he never reached the level he was once at, but many of he had some fights that are staples of his career after UFC 100. Increased his earnings, and popularity and therefore his ability to feed himself once he actually does decide to retire.
By the logic people are using to say he should retire, than they should also be calling for the following heavyweights retirement.
Andrei Arvloski
Bigfoot Silva
Ben Rothwell
Alistair Overeem
Gabriel Gonzaga
Frank Mir
Stefan Struve

for reals. people are morons. the guy still needs to make a living. doing something you love beats the hell out of being a slave for some company 40-60 hours a week, getting paid 20 an hour or some bull****.
sure he's paying a price, but everyone pays a price. my mother has broken her forearm at work, ruined her back very very bad, her knees etc. at my gf's work, plenty of people's knees go out, or ankles, etc. it's a delivery/mail company. and they work the fk out of their employees. so the employees work until they get injuries and are out or get surgeries. that's life. if you stress so much everyday at work and your appendix bursts, or you get high blood pressure or a million other things, no one cares.
these guys are fking fighters, let them fight. I hate the pussification nowadays. and that was a HORRIBLE stoppage they did on schaub. 100% serious. I guarantee you that guy takes worse beatings in the gym. right after it was stopped, he immediately turns around and waives his hand at the ref like wtf. there was maybe 10 seconds left and he wasn't even getting hurt by those baby punches.
likely he was going to lose the fight, but there's no guarantee. plus browne gases and was looking to gas. the ufc just keeps getting worse and worse with stoppages. and lol @ faber cheating and winning. he cheated on purpose btw. the dude was in for a rough fight and threw fingers directly at the guys eyes. I have never, ever, not once done that. and I've sparred hundreds of rounds. I've never low blowed someone or gouged their eyes and ****. it's laughable that these guys try to act like it's a mistake. anyways im getting off track.
but yeah, schaub should keep fighting if he wants. there's no guarantee he will end up like ali or anything crazy. sure that stuff does happen, but for every ali, there's a ton of guys who just got knocked out and are mostly ok. sure they may have a little above average brain damage, and may feel some mild effects later, but not every ex fighter who's been ko'd a few times, is all jacked up like ali.
my point is, we're all going to die, we're all going to get fked up problems, etc etc. even normal people who never fight or get ko'd, often times get dementia and Alzheimer's. let the guy fight, let him earn his living, and let him and the doctors who do the check ups determine if he's ok. and as far as the refs stopping fights, that's just a bold face lie. a make believe tv acting job. a company show, an act. to pretend like they care about the fighters. to make the "sport" look good. businesses and big companies don't give a fk about you, me or anyone else. and I guarantee you, most jobs will work a person until they are 100% spent, then throw them away.
it's just because fighting is in the public eye that they bs, and because of how soft people are nowadays. so they have to be that much softer on the fighters, and prevent a lot of comebacks or real losses.

exactly.
or he can go work construction and work his body until it's so fked that he can't get up. or maybe some stressful job that ruins his body from the inside out and spend all his life in a box, until the bury him in a smaller box.
god forbid he actually fight and try to live a meaningful life to himself, and dream and compete
