Well I know that our ancestors where over there a lot and took whatever they wanted, and it's very possible that they took women with them as well..

Basically Sweden has always been a diverse country, srs. My ancestors on my fathers side come from Walloonia, which is the southern part of Belgium. They were most probably blacksmiths or miners.

The vikings brought along englishmen and probably english women that they came across while pillaging. The vikings also brought home eastern european slaves and labourers, and later when Sweden turned christian the northern crusaders did as well.

Nowadays we get around 80k immigrants a year (more like 100k, but 20k are Swedish citizens returning from being abroad for more than 12 months), with only a fraction of those being fugitives/asylum seekers. Around 10% of the population are immigrants that have immigrated some time in the last 30 years.

I'm sure that way less than 90% of people you have met have said that, and I'm sure many of those who do say that may not actually be. My family have done some research and found that my ancestors actually did come here some time in the 17th-18th century.

It's estimated that around 25% of the swedish population actually have Wallonian blood, so it's pretty common and nothing exclusive. Hence why I pointed it out in regards to immigration.

I think it's mostly what club you go to, I've go to clubs way more than I should. And unless I've got crazy beer goggles I've always thought the majority of the girls were 6+
Although if you go to the free entry drum and bass regae ect this is the type of people you would see.

I was in Nottingham at the weekend and ive never seen so many 9/10s before.

To be fair I have seen a lot of people at clubs like this, it's mainly the clubs which popular for Chavs or older people. Majority of nightclubs in the UK have decent people.

It always makes me lol when Americans insult the British for their looks because they're basically calling the majority of their white population ugly. Where do Americans think the majority of their white population came from? On genetic maps White-Americans almost always come out clustering with the British. It might be different in the big diverse cities, but most white americans are still quite British. Take it from a person who has been to Australia many times. The average white American looks Anglo as hell. Even the celebrities and entertainers they often post as representitive of attractive Americans are British as hell. Even the ones they tout as their "Germans" are mostly English LOL.

The so called Germans are mostly mixed with the British and its always miniscule and far back compared to the British ancestry. Dunno why some Americans believe its better being German. Germans are practically humping the British on genetic maps. You can't get any closer to each other than Germans are to Brits. Only true difference between the anglosphere countries Aussies & Americans take a bit more care of themselves, they have higher standards for how they look. Well according to the people I have talked to, and I read it somewhere as well.. Not the perfect source, I'm just assuming.

Plus, Sweden wasn't really crowded when they came here, and that far back in time everyone must have some kind of connection to Walloonians, in most cases it's probably not even traceable. In my family's case we could, but we also found Norwegian ancestors and Icelandic ancestors, to a smaller extent, but closer in history.

And I don't know what kind of people you guys talk to, I have never experienced that people mention it as something special at all and very few actually know anything about their ancestors.

All I know is that my relatives did a family research and found that a large part of my ancestors were from southern Belgium. I never heard the term Walloonian until I simply mentioned it in a discussion with my friends and they all pointed out that it was typical because I was so dark haired and have dark eyes.

I don't even know if that's particularly "Walloonian" to have dark hair and eyes, for all I know my ancestors could have easily been blonde and blue eyed.
