Would you say youre able to live comfortably on your salary?
Everyone always warns that a teachers pay is subpar and getting paid once monthly is hard to manage.
It's just something i've always felt I would excel at though..

75+% of the job is about being authoritarian, dealing with unruly kids, punishing them. Considering that you need a masters degree to become a teacher, the pay is absolutely ridiculous (at least here in France), you barely earn more than minimum wage at the beginning of your career...

I work in a cvs distribution warehouse lmao pretty poverty i know but it started at $11.50 full time/ot with benefits etc etc which is pretty incredible for someone my age where I live with just a HS diploma. It's physical but it's cool, I enjoy it enough and it lets me work out enough.

I worked for CVS as a shift supervisor and then as a pharm tech. Loved the people I worked with in the pharmacy but the customers are tough to deal with. The workload is also insane as well. Honestly miss the job at times. Got all the hours I could handle. Considering all I had was a HS diploma it was a good gig for me as well. Are you one of the people to blame for putting completely unrelated **** in totes and having half the stuff in it busted all to hell? lol

I've worked with kids in two different regards. The first was as a football/basketball coach and mentor. It was a cake walk. I loved every second of it.
During that time I shadowed multiple teachers and "assisted" in the classroom. Once again, not that bad.
Currently i'm working in a mental health facility specifically for children with mental health and behavioral issues. Everyday is a challenge to say the least but it's mostly other employees who don't know how to handle the kids that make it harder for me. Here you do not need a masters just to teach. Thatd be a professor or an asst principal or principal. You can get teaching jobs here with a 4 year degree and some assist jobs with a HS diploma.
IMHO dealing with groups of kids it all comes down to if you can "own the room" and maintain control while still walking the fine line of being level with them.

As for occupations, I am a Volunteer firefighter, and I have 2 EMT jobs (one pays 16/hr and the other 12.50/hr) Applied for a 3rd job with a 911 system (pays 11/hr)... I'm 19 and still have time to maintain a social life while doing all that... Im only doing it because i love what I do, not for the money... plus all those jobs are part time so I get to control my schedule (Been planning all of this for 3 years srs)


Goal out of college is to join my city Fire Department and go to paramedic school b/c Fire and EMS may become one entity within the next 5 years

A brother at my lodge is an EMT. When I first met him he tried to encourage me to get on with him. Then he showed me a few pics of what he'd seen....they were quite harsh and that was a deal breaker for me immediately lol.

My father was in the USAF so when I lived abroad I had the opportunity to work at a U.S. embassy since both of my parents did.
Ahhh I have experience working like I said at a U.S. embassy, so I had a security clearance for that and for my current job so if you haven't gotten in trouble you have that going for you. In previous jobs I've worked in highly regulated environments as well and I'm continuing my education.
