    Best Pain Relieving topical creams/gels/rubs/sprays.

I was searching the forums and found there to be several topical creams and sprays. I know at this point buying a cream is trial and error but why waste money first. I'd rather see from the poll's point of view which topical creams/gels/rubs/sprays is the best. Also forgive me if I have not named any that may not appear on the list. Thank you guys.

I personally myself use Biofreeze with Voltaren gel mixed on my arms to reduce inflammation and then wrap an ace bandage around to reduce swelling.

    My goto

    copy paste:

Best thing I've found for sore to downright debilitating tendons/ligaments/muscles etc. is a combination of Walgreens roll on Capsaicin and Tiger Balm Ultra Sport.

If it's not the roll on it's not as strong. If it's not Ultra it's not as strong. The Walgreens Roll on Capsaisin has more Capsaicin per volume than Equiblock. So, be careful how much you put on. Also, it's a roll on and less to get on your hands or other unwanted areas. You DO NOT want this to get on your fingers. There is also Tiger Balm Extra Strength but the Ultra is slightly stronger. You can get both from Walgreens in store and online. Liftinglarge you can get a bigger container of the Tiger Balm Ultra though. I like the tigerbalm over most menthol products as it's stronger concentration of menthol and also has a high concentration of camphor and other oils that other menthol liniments don't have. Also, watch out on the timing of application and how long it kicks in.

For general tendonitis I'll apply the capsaicin first thing in the morning. This can burn all day and night especially depending on how much you apply and application area. Also, WARNING it can take a good 20 -45 minutes or more before you actually start feeling it kick in. So, some people apply it and 10 minutes later don't feel anything so apply a lot more. BAD idea. Then about 15 minutes before training or as I'm warming up I apply some tiger balm and if possibly put on some sleeves. (some might not be able to handle the pain of sleeves over liniments and most liniments say to not cover the area of application.) Tiger balm can take a good 15-20 minutes before you feel it kick in.

For bad pains... Same as above but I'll apply the capsaicin again in the afternoon. This may cause a lot of redness and will most likely feel it well into the next day regardless of how much you try and wash it off and water burns...

For really really bad pains... same as above but apply the capsaicin again before training along with the afternoon second application then just pray to the gods that I can sleep through the fire for the next couple days. This allowed me to train and compete at a meet through a pulled upper pec and partially separated clavicle.

nope. higher concentration did not result in better pain management. equiblock still gives me the warmth and 'slow burn" that helps over the course of a training session.

Tigerbalm MOST effective for Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS)

Hello All I just bought Ultra Strength Tiger Balm. before i use it, i wanted to get feedback from people who use it. i'm just doing with caution.

I bought it out of desperation. My muscle soreness POST workout has been out of control.

i'm 39 now. And I'm in a scenario where when I work a muscle group and go heavy the soreness / ache is really unberabable, the day after. pain really sets in deep within the muscle tissue in the muscle 2 days after. i cannot function.

i did chest/shoulders it took 2 days from get back 2 normal from DOMS

especially leg day. if i work the hamstrings, inn glutes, abbductors/adductors, quads - seriously - i can barely walk 2 days later. and it usually takes 3 days for me to regain full functionality again. its embarassing. thank god for escalators and elevators. i can't walk up stars after leg day!!!

i own icy hot and that seems to be good for mild aches and joints. it feels more like it hits the surface and its a wired cool feeling. but nothing that hits deep in the inside muscle tissue

also i own a roller to roll my glutes & quads. i stretch i got self massage tools and i even own a massage gun to get that deep tissue massage

    but its not enough.

I heard about CBD topicals for muscle athlete football players testing it soreness pain Football Player Warren Sapp talked about it. he's apart of company
    Be Trū Wellness™

but i don't trust the brands its not FDA tested and I worry about buying snake oils with radical creams. I need more information. when professional natural bodybuilders start using it along with mainstream athletes i'll go get some CBD.

I finally thought about muscle soreness topicals - and i hear tiger balm is the BEST. is it really?

does it deeply penetrate the muscle tissue to relax the muscles more

can i atleast move around. how much does it burn???

    how effective is tiger balm??

I hear that after using it i need to WASH my hands WELL to get it off -

what about staining clothes and furtniture? does it stain?
