    Calories in Rice (question)

I can't understand the calorie count for rice.
0.25 cup, 1/4 cup of rice is 160 calories

It reads serving size, 1/4 (45g) dry
    About 3/4 cup cooked
    Servings about 50

Certainly it can't be over 600 cals for a cup of rice.

By that math you listed, 1 cup of uncooked rice would seem to be over 600.
But 1/3 cup of uncooked rice would = 1 cup cooked.

Could you list the actual nutrition facts, or post a readable pic of it?

100 g dry, uncooked rice has about 350 calories.

So yes, one US cup (180 g) has 600 calories - around 630 actually.

Cook up and eat 1 full cup of dry rice and tell me again that it isn't over 600 calories.

Hint: It'll probably take you a little while.
