2014 Fantasy Basketball Advice Thread

Who are some of the best FAs in your leagues? My league has Hawes, J.R. Smith, Mayo, Belinelli, Turner, Nick Young.

Put all those guys on your watch list for starters.

If u have a good feeling on somebody pick them up.

Out of those guys i would probably go with Hawes if i needed another BIG (he gives u great %'s too, 3's also) & JR (He may give u some points/3's, revert back to his sixth man of the year type numbers) Definitely Hawes > JR currently though. If u don't need another BIG then JR for sure.

The way the Lakers are going through injuries right now, u can probably gamble on Swaggy in a week or two. It's a gamble though, injury bug may still be looming or he may take advantage like last season and give u points/3's but we don't know yet with Byron Scott.

Mayo may have a bounce back year as well, but MIL will perhaps have all kinds of rotations/minutes sharing going on. Another guy if u want points/3's.

Dropped KJ McDaniels, picked up danny green, dropped danny green picked up draymond green. Sticking with this lineup for a few, we'll see how it plays out.

Big Dick Dray will be the best choice you've ever made. He just completely fills the stat sheet. Plus he has a decent chance of starting since Lee is having hamstring issues.

Think of dropping one of those 3 for Hawes or J.R. Give it about a week for J.R. but i think ur good to go on picking up Hawes. imo.

feel like picking up Michael Kidd Gilchrist, but not sure who to drop for him. Should I drop him for Boozer, Pekovic, or Gerald Green. Peko's minutes are gonna be down this year, but Green has a terrible FG% and doesn't offer much besides scoring. Green has high upside. Boozer idk I don't like watching him play he makes me feel uneasy.

dropped Green already for Tony Wroten and dropped Boozer for MKG. I'm gonna try and pick Boozer back up once he clears waivers. By the time he clears waivers MCW should be back so dropping Wroten for Boozer would make sense.

If you can handle his %'s you may want to hold on to Wroten for a bit. Philly needs some genuine talent and MCW can't do it all by himself. Wroten may still end up getting 30+ minutes.
