Designated Survivor is really good so far. Will likely binge this weekend.

Interesting. I may have to reactivate Netflix to check it out. I watched the first one and was just about convinced that he was innocent, but getting away from the show and thinking about it, I'm pretty sure he's guilty. Still a travesty what they did with the nephew, even if he was involved. I'm from Wisconsin and those people talk like my relatives.
I also lived in the Ozarks. I checked out Ozark. Meh. Didn't do anything for me. Kinda trite.

The Haunting of Hill House
I am partial to horror series, in particular American Horror Story, but for some reason this one had passed under my radar. But at work everybody was raving about it, so I had to check it out, and I can confirm, it's worth watching. It's a classic haunting and ghosts story, good psychological horror without too much need for special effects and buckets of gore. It doesn't have AHS dark humor or twisted stuff, but it has very good atmosphere and creep factor.
I will never say "awww look at the cute kitten" again.Follow my 2018 competition prep here:

Watched The Sinner. When we first watched it, we didn't even get through the first episode because we figured it was so predictable. Kind of a roll-eyes we know where this is going, type of thing.
But then we saw that on Rotten Tomatoes, every review kept saying it was "unpredictable" even right to the end. So we gave it another go. I am glad we did. It was good. Some groce creepy parts, but otherwise good. Jessica Biel is great.
Would recommend. No drama: You know where we are.

Netflix is knocking it out of the park with originals lately:
14 Cameras Landlord streams cameras on the "dark web" think "sliver" mixed with "black mirror" and you're close, super creepy and edge of seat stuff. Listing this first as it's top choice viewing, though slow at times.
Children of Men A women gets pregnant in a dystopian future where humans have been unable to reproduce for 18 years, crazy violence, great action and you'll probably cry.
The Ritual Basically "Blair Witch" for a group of Men on a hiking trip, but delivers thrills and well acted.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

Just finished The Chalet. A group of friends convene at a chalet in France for a weekend wedding, but the only bridge in and out of town is wiped out from a rockslide (no telephone service) and then people are slowly killed off. Sounds like a typical slasher thing, but it's not - quite good, deals with a 20-year old mystery and revenge. 6 episodes, 1 season only.
Also watched Bad Blood (with Anthony LaPaglia and Kim Coates) which is about the Rizzuto crime family in Montreal. Pretty good mobster show. Looking forward to the next season. No drama: You know where we are.

Fyre
For the unaware this is a documentary about a failed luxury music festival, I've been interested in this story since it came on the news. The whole thing was basically hyped by "Instagram Influencers" and one of the Kardashians was wired $250k to post about it ONE time on her IG. Very interesting modern day hustle gone wrong story.

Netflix is moving into a lot more original content and original series, I remember the days of getting there dvd's in the mail only to mail them back in a couple days, seems kind of charming now, at any rate....
The Life of Spock
I'm a trekkie so LOVED it, if you're not a trekkie it's a good success story with the bad and good. For example when he was shooting he would basically stay in character over the weekend, distant and cold. Gotta watch.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

The second season of The OA is finally out on Netflix. I know it's been referenced ITT before but I can't find it. I'm 2 episodes in and budget was way lower for season 2 IMO. I'm thinking of going back and watching season 1 again before I get any farther, I think they may have missed the mark by waiting so long to release season 2.

We are watching OA season 2 at the moment, I agree its just a much lower quality production. Not sure what episode it is but when an octopus telepathically talks to an audience in a nightclub through Prairie/Nina/the Original Angel that I lost it..... Not sure I can watch anymore
