Watched The Titan. I guess for a NetFlix movie it is ok. And, it was ok, but it could have been much greater.

The movie was way too condensed and short for me. Most of the movie was a crescendo to the end which was ok, but rushed and anti-climactic.

Acting was very good. Just rushed.

Really looking forward to it. I was ready to cut out Netflix when it went from like 8 to 12 bucks, but Black Mirror and promising stuff like this has kept me paying.

Best shows of all time in my opinion (not in order)

- The Wire
- Breaking Bad
- True Detective (season 1)
- Westworld

Haven't watched The Sopranos so I can't comment on it. I won't put Game of Thrones on this list becaus they really started to suck after surpassing the source material, and ruined many storylines (Dorne specially) maintaining a few very good episodes (Battle of the Bastards and 6x10 with Cersei and the Sept). I hear Mad Men is good too, but I haven't watched it either.

Timeless was good. Time travel show, so as you'd expect, a lot of plot holes. But some funny lines, and great costumes.

Thanks for the tips in thread. I've seen timeless, but completely missed black mirror. The time travel theme has always been a favorite of mine. Watched the time machine several times even though I don't like it that much. It would be amazing if they ever make a more realistic movie or show around the subject and include some of the real physicists we often see in the documentaries about space, time and the universe. Perhaps there was some unfinished work left by Stephen Hawking, which they now continue on or something like that.

As far as time travel/time loop movies are concerned ARQ is a netflix original that is pretty good. Low budget and simple story line that basically happens in one place where a guy is trying to prevent an abduction from taking place.

Oh yeah, good point. Forgot that one. I have no background in science but one of the the first books I got from amazon was by Kip Thorne on Black holes. Supposedly he helped on that movie. Liked it and the other one Matthew McConaughey was in as well - Contact. Wow, just noticed that was over 20 years ago already, lol.

I found it kind of average. Was hoping for more spectacular things and challenges to happen. Maybe I got spoiled with a few good star trek series in early age.

I skip thru/fast fwd all the pointless chit-chatting in most shows, cutting episodes to 10-15 min.

I was shocked by how good Babylon Berlin is. One of the best TV series I have ever seen. It is on Netflix in NA.

I binged on the two available seasons over the past few weekends. Seriously well done show.

I've never been interested in any TV series because of the typical cheesy acting, poor script, snore-worthy story lines, slow pace and commercials.
Never cared for any sitcoms either and still don't.
Admittedly, I'm not easily impressed and my wife is not nearly as critical. (painfully obvious as she married me )

We signed up for Netflix about a year ago and I thought I'd peruse Netflix for some that may have interest potential solely because of no commercials.
To my surprise, I found a few worth checking out that I thought Cindy would enjoy also being action, good guy/bad guy, fantasy genres.

Here's a few that we've been enjoying together:
Burn Notice: I liked it and we finished watching that one some weeks ago. Cindy liked it enough to purchase the series. (I take the blame)
Numb3rs: It was OK even though I got weary of Charlie getting too verbose with his over the top expertise (part of the show's premise/emphasis) too often and wasn't totally
enamored with all characters. The pace of the show kept me interested enough although not quite as enjoyable as Burn Notice.
Once Upon A Time: we'll be watching the last two episodes of season 3 tonight. The filming technique confused me at times but Cindy really liked it so that was good enough for me.
Arrow: season one kept my interest pretty well and season two we'll start next as we just got the email it's on now.

One's that are in queue next for us to try:

Leverage
Agents Of Shield looks like it could be entertaining enough to check out when Neflix offers it.
I know nothing of these three but only heard they were pretty good.
I see no others offered at this time that are grabbing me.

Oh....I did try Dexter some time ago but it just didn't keep me interested.

Even though I may find a few criticisms here and there the real pay-off is just spending some relaxation time with the wifster after her hard day's work and dinner. (I'm retired)

Happy to hear that! It is the most expensive German TV show ever produced and most Germans I know heavily criticized their TV offerings. But Babylon Berlin is fantastic. Both seasons were really strong right?

Thinking I'll save the next season of Chef's Table until after summer...

Good thriller with an evil billionaire genus. Story has been done a thousand times but this was well acted and the AI character was great.

Implausible story overshadowed some pretty good acting, waste of 90 minutes.

End of the earth type of movie that I usually enjoy, some plot holes especially around the timeline. If no one produces batteries for 100 years please don't show people using flashlights. Good enough story and decent plot twists to make this a good watch.

Original Netflix mini series. I binged it, watched both seasons in like 9 days. It's very good, steals from recent successful themes in Breaking Bad and SOA. There's something different and refreshing in this spin though, don't want to give it away, but keep your eye on Ruth.
