wait so youre saying hes only good because he covers only one side?.......
the argument most people use is that he plays in a cover 3 and has ET + Chancellor.
agreed with the first part of your statement.
his sideshow of sht talking overshadows how good of a player he actually is imo.★|★ Seahawks ★|★ Mariners ★|★

i wish we could see that matchup, but im guessing dallas wont do it.
i imagine most offenses will take the advantage of knowing where sherman will lineup each week. fcking sucks
but it's also kind of an issue because he tends to get matched up against guys who arent his strongsuit. (i.e. terrence williams, jackson, etc)
in some strange and twisted way, i think he would probably would fair better by lining up against the brandon marshall types. but we wont know until more teams start going after him with their shifty receivers and experiencing success
yeah i wish he would be a little more normal. i think that rant with Andrews last year did so much harm. it seems like he doesnt really like to be ridiculed and sht like that only invites more ridicule. even when he makes just 1 mistake in a game.
i only say that he doesnt like being ostracized because of the way he responds to everything. i dunno***Gender Non-Committed***

If Sherman never said a word he would be the consensus best CB in football.
It's just funny how many people let their emotions dictate their feelings and opinions.Originally Posted by RogerSterling i workout for my health, dont feel the need to eat if i'm not hungry since i still get plenty of puss being the weight i am now.

Does anybody remember Sherman in college? NO! Because he was garbage at Stanford. Ive followed them(Stanford) every year and at the time Sherman was there The Stanford pass defense was one of the worst in the pac-10. I believe he's only good enough to sustain the hype for a short time, but he's gotten lucky on a lot of interceptions and the commenters/media love to hype him up. my opinion, we'll see tho

That's full retard on display right there...
Plenty of guys come in from college without making big splashes and turn into terrific NFL players with the right coaching/scheme...etc. Sherman is definitely one of those guys who has gotten better. The guy was only playing corner for a few years.
I hate defending that fuktard but people like you are just clueless with comments like that. How many star college players have done nothing in the NFL?

Sherman received an athletic scholarship to attend Stanford University, where he played for the Stanford Cardinal football team from 2006 to 2010. He began his career at Stanford as a wide receiver and led the Cardinals in receiving as a freshman in 2006 while being named a Freshman All-American. He caught 47 passes over the next two years before suffering a season-ending knee injury after playing in the first four games in 2008. He switched to cornerback after his injury due to team need and made 112 tackles over his final two years, which also included 6 interceptions. He was part of the 2010 Stanford Cardinal team that finished 12-1, a school record.[2]
Here you go.....
Generally when players switch positions in college they dont go on to succeed, he did and he was a part of some of the best Stanford teams of all time....USC-Cowboys

Thank you Mr. Wiki for the first part.
As far as players switching positions in college not having success that's BS. Plenty of guys switch positions in college and go on to be really good at it. JJ Watt switched positions, he's doing ok. Plenty of other guys changed positions and are doing really good things with their careers. Granted Sherman switched a lot later than most guys but making the jump from WR to CB is one of the easier moves you can make at least mentally.

but for every Watt or Sherman (exceptional athletes), you have a thousand other guys who never even make it to the league after changing positions. Generally if they switch positions in college its because they arent good enough at their current position and there is a bigger team need at another position. I dont remembers Watts situation that well, but I imagine if he was dominating at TE they would of kept him there,

There have been a lot more success stories than that.
Lots of QB to WR converts. Joe Staley was a former TE himself.
Guys sometimes switch positions just so they can get on the field faster. Coaches see a talented athletic kid but they have a backlog at a certain position. Kid has a choice - redshirt or switch and actually play. Lots of them switch and lots do well.
It's not like a lot of guys go from playing QB to DT. These position changes tend to be similar in skill sets.

not that you are incorrect but just was reminded of a former USC kid "Boyd returns to defensive end in the fall of 2010 and will serve as a backup as a redshirt freshman. He was moved to quarterback midway through 2010 spring practice after switching from tight end to defensive end prior to 2010 spring drills"
I think of current guys Like Gardener QB to WR to QB from Michigan, Bell from Oklahoma QB to TE, Tre Madden from USC LB to RB, wont make it in the league, they are all good athletes, but a lot of them are not specifically good at one position.USC-Cowboys
