Post workout supplement & Whey Protein

    Hi guys,

I'm a bit confused. I was reading about fat burners(decided to buy the Jym's fat burner, any thoughts/suggestions) and then started reading about whey protein and post workout supplement. Should I consider the whey protein and a post workout supplement or just one?

Just eat food. Whey isn't necessary post and won't give you any more noticeable gains over having it 4hrs post work out. Skip the post work out all together IMO.

Don't focus to much on diet, or read to much into the marketing gimmicks.
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

What I think you mean is that you should make sure that your diet is in check before dieting with supplements. Just like your sig says

^This. Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

Whey protein for a post workout should be enough.
You can add in creatine mono with it (as it is tasteless) whether you or dieting or bulking.

Pre/post workout nutrition is very important, when I can not get whole foods (protein/crabs) I use either Anabolic Window or Waxybolic combined with another Nutrabolics protein.

    This....
It does not matter how many things you take or digest supplement wise if your diet is not in check you will never see results.
Whey would not be needed post-workout as stated if you can eat.. then eat.. if you want a shake then take a shake
remember it is used to help reach your protein intake over the 24 hour period if you cannot reach it via whole foods.

When I don't have access to a good meal right after my workout, a mix of whey and karbolyn as a post workout works out well for me. If your diet is not in check the supplements will not have much impact.

Pre/Post workouts are nowhere near necessary, but they can aid, mainly pre workouts. Pre workouts can be great for energy, endurance and pumps

Post workout you can just eat. A shake is fine but it is not necessary, timing of protein is irrelevant

If I get no other part of nutrition correct throughout the day, I make my pre/post workout nutrition a priority. For pre-workout, I use a scoop of AST VP2 Whey isolate, a scoop of AST's DGC, Blue Star PurBlue Creatine and AST's GL3. For post-workout, I use 2 scoops of VP2, DGC, creatine and GL3. I drink my pre in the parking lot of the gym right before working out and I drink my post walking back out to my car. An hour after lifting, I get home and eat protein and carbs.
