    Break Time?

    Guys-

I'm 3 months and 20 pounds in. Something came up and my my grocery budget is non-existent for the next week..I'll be living off of the rice, noodles, amd the caned whatever the hell is in my cabinet til payday. No meat... just a tub of whey.

Question- Should I keep lifting? Or take a break until i can get my diet back on track?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Kepp up the lifting for sure! Just have to get creative with the protein intake on a budget. You already have some whey, then add in some inexpensive canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc..), also cottage cheese is pretty cheap, but some brands pack a whopping 30g's of protein per 1 cup!!

Keep lifting, might want to cut down on the volume a bit though until you can eat again.

Could also use it at a deload week and rest. Depends on how your body is feeling right now. If you have the energy and desire, lift.

A few sets of heavy lifts can help keep the muscle on during this time of bad nutrition, you wont gain, but you can fight to keep what you have.

Definitely continue working out because if you don't, you'll feel horrible and setback when you do decide to go back.

Keep lifting! You'll be okay if it's not long term.

You'll be just fine for the week. Lots of guys take a deload week after awhile or even take a week off every once in awhile to recoup and come back just fine. If you keep on your schedule and have to slightly alter your diet for a week that won't be the end of the world at all. And besides, apparently meat is bad for us now anyway so it seems that maybe you ran out of money at a good time

Keep lifting or you'll find yourself very quickly have a very stressful life that will then spill over into your personal life.

Stay positive and keep looking forward!
