Only time will tell if it ends up killing millions in Africa. It is very strange that they would allow people from those nations to come here.

You're being super paranoid OP. It's healthy to a certain extent but in this case its unwarranted.
Everyone should be afraid of what Ebola can do to you. There are scary viruses out there. And you should be worried about them. And you should be really worried about the potential for a major supervirus epidemic. Because it is certainly possible and really only a matter of time.
Now, why is Ebola not it?
It's only become an epidemic in third world countries. The people that get it in these countries have no knowledge of bacteria or viruses, they are fearful and in denial about the horrible affects they have seen, and there are very little sanitary practices that prevent the spread. It's really a trifecta for it to spread in countries like this unfortunately.
That being said. We live in a first world country. And despite a small percentage believing that God is giving them diseases most of us know the basics of bacteria and viruses, we have incredible doctors, quarantine, and incredibly sanitary conditions. There really isn't anything to worry about. Yes a few people will get it, yes it is tragic and you should be concerned, but this state of panic everyone gets in that the world is somehow ending is almost comical.
Now let's assume that your premise that it is not transmitted through blood but is actually an airborn and/or can transfer through fluids and we are being lied to. That will mean that a large amount of the population will start to get it. And if the government is truly hiding it then they will have to block all social media, and essentially close down the Internet so that no family member or friend of the infected can aware the people. The spread of information is incredible these days, and it would be impossible to contain the information coming out if a million people got the virus in a week or two. So you can be paranoid about this but until you see large amounts of people dying all you are doing is putting ****ty ideas in people's heads.

dumb post is dumb, if it hits a congested part of a country like new york or somewhere in india then it will spread like fire. CDC predicts if they cant get a handle on the african epidemic now, by 2016 1.4m will be infected and 70% will die... africa is populated but its not a dense population as some city's are in the world.

Yes, there are some of those people but I'm not into CTs and I think vaccines are awesome. What I want to know is why our leaders are refusing to release accurate information. For example, cdc director refused to answer a simple question about the patients citizenship status. I'm thinking it's more along the lines of political correctness run amok.
Liberalism: the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.

This. The problem is that it is spreading exponentially. It is already extimated that between 1.4 - 5 million people in Africa will die within a year. It is out of control, no amount of money can contain it. Fact is one person in the US had it and 80 people are now in quarrentine because of one person. Imagine 100+... doomsday scenario.

Ugh. Nothing on your ma bro, but 'big pharma' hippies piss me off almost as much as fat activists. brb perfect closed logic system, brb I'm alive = must be all this watercress, brb I might be dead at some point in the intermediate future = big pharma. It's like they haven't even tried to make up something worthwhile before diving headfirst into the crazy. Now I'm involved in healthcare they piss me off even more. If I get linked to one more PubMed abstract from 1976 I'm gonna go mental.

Youre a nursing student comparing a 3rd world country where the people struggle to find water they haven't **** in to drink to New York.
It's spread through close contact with bodily fluids of an infected person.
If it was airborne it would have infected millions of people already. And there would be a serious issue. But it hasnt, so it isn't. Numbers don't lie.

70% mortality rate, IN AFRICA.
don't fall for the media fear mongering.
How is this any different from SARS, mad cow disease, west nile... I mean seriously. Every year the media needs to keep their ratings floating, so they promote some disease that is somewhere in the world so the senior citizens who sit at home all day have something to freak out about.Spoiler alert; you die at the end.

you CT's can't even get your story straight
Half are saying the government/media/jews are covering up the severity of it to prevent panic
the other half are saying the government/media/jews are over exaggerating it for monetary gain
oh, but we're all open minded, intelligent, and see the bigger picture, thus better than everyone else
the internet always finds a way to bring out the smartest of usYou're gonna carry that weight.
