Media: tons of snarky articles about how ebola is impossible to catch unless you're rolling around in fresh bloody diarrhea and you low class proles need to calm down.
Government: It would do more harm than good to place travel restrictions on the affected countries. It would be impossible to send in medical professionals and supplies because of course we could never work something out. Soon it will be too late now that West Africans have been allowed to fly around the world willy nilly.
Government: Witholding information. Refused to tell us where the patient was, which flights he took, who they are monitoring, how we are monitoring his "contacts" etc etc
These are just a couple examples. There are more out there.
It's obvious government and media are lying and withholding information. Easily verifiable. These aren't even good lies. My question is why?

Government and media are lying to us about ebola. Why?

I'm not really a conspiracy theorist, but my mom sometimes can be.
She sent me this text, when the news of the guy with Ebola in Dallas first broke....
" Hey son, Ebola spreading in America! First case reported in Texas. This is bullchit. Just a conspiracy by Big Pharma to be able to scare the general public and start making a profit off of peoples' fears by selling their Ebola vaccines and medicines."
Don't know what to make of that. I'll leave it to the Misc." You're either motivated by a dream or a nightmare."

The real question is how easy can it be spread. Is it on that zombie apocolypse level or just like the common cold

Your mom sounds like a very open-minded woman, and if I were to put my money on something it would be the same thing. Same chit with the Flu. "THis is some new strain of super flu!!!" Same ole flu, same ole vulnerable populations succumbing to it. My guess is that flu shots were down, there needed to be a new sensation to stir things up.

That's exactly what I was talking about. Vox.com is the snarkiest media outlet of them all. Do you seriously not understand why Ebola is a concern even though it has only killed a few thousand people? Do you seriously not understand how concerning the rate of new infections is growing?
I think you do but you and a lot of others are being purposely obtuse. Why? Does it give you some sense of superiority to tell everyone else to stop panicking? Like you and your kind are way too sophisticated to be concerned about some little ebola thing. Lmfao.Liberalism: the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.

It's pretty obvious most media outlets toe the party line. It's also easy to verify how both are withholding information. There's not even a question.
The question is why.
No, it's not a big pharma conspiracy. Massive conspiracies are just too difficult to keep closed. It's something else.Liberalism: the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.
