** ~ Ice Cream Eating Now Thread -- Round 3 ~ **

@ugasar Since you're the authority on keeping pints in the freezer for ages without them getting freezerburnt, I was wondering what your secret was. Family picked up some stuff I cant get where I am but I wont able to come home until april or june. Do you put them in bags or something? THe problem is that the freezer is one of those that cools in cycles to remove the ice that builds up.

Hahaha I guess I will take this as a compliment! First off, I am not real sure how the "cycle freezers" work, but it sounds better than a normal freezer in my opinion, which is a plus..

Secondly, as long as you don't open them, they will be fine by themselves without any freezer bags as long as you keep them towards the front of the freezer.. I find that if you put them in the back, they freezer burn real quick and easily since that where the freezing air is being circulated into the freezer.. So I like to keep mine in the front.. Just put your frozen foods, veggies, fruit, etc. towards the back to kind of shield the "burn" from the ice cream pints..

NOW, if they are opened then hell yeah bag them up & seal them tightly! Also, if they are opened, put some saran/plastic wrap in the top of the container which prevents freezer burn as well.. My advice is don't open them though and keep them towards the front of the freezer and you are golden my man.. Trust me!

Saw a lot of "meh" comments about this one, but had to try it for myself
I actually liked this one. I am a HUGE beer fan, and the base had just a slight malty brown ale flavor. Not too overpowering, which I personally think was just right. The caramel swirl was also excellent as always. The kicker was the brownies for me. Everyone complained about crunchy mix-ins, but my brownies were soft, chewy, and there were a lot of large ones. Maybe I got a good pint, I don't know. I wouldn't give it an A by any means, but a good B+ in my book.

Yeah, I'm not sure where all the "meh" reviews came from. I loved this flavor and I HATE beer. Thick caramel swirl, dense/chewy brownies, and an unoffensive base.

I am still on the hunt.. EVERY review, no lie, has been absolutely LOADED with mix-ins.. B&J's might have finally turned things around!!

Gelato Fiasco Fresh Cream


This is about as basic as you can get with a gelato. I wasn’t expecting much due to the lack of mix-ins, but on the other hand I was looking forward to a simplistic, well-done flavor. The gelato was much thicker and creamier than usual. I don’t know if it is due to the simple ingredients consisting mainly of cream and milk, but the texture of this gelato was much denser compared to other flavors. It did not melt near as quickly either.



The taste is just as you would expect. It is plain, simple, and extremely milky. The cream comes through as an aftertaste that truly makes you appreciate the plain gelato. Imagine drinking the creamiest glass of whole milk and this what you have here. Despite the lack of mix-ins, this was still a good pint of gelato. Although I am a mix-in guy, you never actually appreciate a great simplistic base until you eat it alone. A pint this creamy and milky makes you realize that you can achieve great flavor without mix-ins. B-

Kind of thinking Banana will be my favorite, also picked up Dreyer’s chocolate malt Custard (1.99$)...cant wait to dig into all of those

My top had about 1/3 of that but the entire quart had none throughout. just a paperthin swirl around the sides. I guess private selection is the go-to for fudge

I agree. It's hard to rank them because a lot of the S'more flavors are so different. Either with heavy, cinnamon, PB or just regular GC.
