Dang! Looks like I will be passing it up then unfortunately..
Baskin-Robbins Snacknado
Finally got around to the flavor of the month for March at Baskin-Robbins. Salted caramel base, chocolate potato chips, chocolate pretzels, candy pieces, chocolate fudge & a salted pretzel flavored ribbon. My first thought was that there is way too much going on with this flavor. And to a certain extent I can agree with my initial thoughts. I am not the biggest salted caramel fan, but I thought the base was great. It was balanced with the perfect amount of sweetness and saltiness without either overpowering the other. The mix-ins involved both took this to another level, but also brought it back down because of them doing too much with the flavor. I was afraid the pretzels would be soggy due to the chocolate coating, but I was wrong. They were crunchy & salty, just the way I like them. I honestly did not spot any chocolate potato chips, although I could definitely tell a change in texture every few bites. The candy pieces (think m&m’s) were rock hard and could have possibly chipped a tooth if not careful. The fudge flakes were finely chopped, even thinner than B&J’s type. And unfortunately, the salted pretzel ribbon was not the thickest, but really gelled with the base. I could really tell when I hit the swirl because that bite was much saltier offering a great change in flavor. In the end I thoroughly enjoyed the base, and my next favorite elements would be the chopped pretzels, as well as the gritty texture all of the mix-ins combined to form (think B&J’s Candy Bar Pie). Not too salty & not too sweet! I am glad I picked it up while it was around, although I probably would not scoop it again. B-

The grocery store I go to started carrying Jeni's and Gelato Fiasco. I never tried them so I bought
Jeni's: 'The Buckeye State'.
Gelato Fiasco: 'Peanut Butter Stracciatella',
'torched marshmallow S'mores'
& 'Cookie Therapy'.
Will post review on the S'mores later on.
Also if anyone has tried Gelato Fiasco cookie therapy, how does it compare to Graeters & Ben & Jerry's?

This happened today. The Pie Who Loved Me and Germanchökolätekäke from Coldstone. Boy subbed the coconut in the Germanchökolätekäke for Butterfinger. Still zooming from sugar rush. The Pie Who Loved Me is probably my favourite between the cheesecake ice cream and the crunch of the oreos and graham crackers. The only thing that could have made this better would be some heath. Which may happen next time.IG: @addingpins

Wow! This flavor blew my taste buds. This blows Ben & Jerry's S'mores out by a landslide.
The Cinnamon Graham Cracker base immediately hits you and its damn good.
This is the base that BnJ's should have used . The Cinnamon Graham Cracker base should be incorporated in more ice creams.
The marshmallow's were of good size and soft. They were evenly spaced out throughout the pint. Gelato Fiasco S'mores just made it's way into my top 5 all time favorite ice creams.

Its a dark chocolate base, which I don't recall having before....has it been in other pints? Regardless I thought it was quite good but I'm not as picky on the chocolate from B&J as most ITT. My pint had a solid swirl and either fudge or nuts in every bite. Nothing mind blowing...just a good solid pint imo
Personally disagree on this one. I'm usually easy to please but this was a let down for me after getting it last night. Flavor was solid...just really boring after about 2 bites. Still haven't found any of the other new ones though so I can't compare to those

Lst week found Talenti Hazelnut Chocolate Chip, B&J The Tonight Dough and Haagen-Dazs Ginger Molasses Cookie. All are good but The Tonight Dough is too much chocolate for my liking. B&J seem to be offering too many with a dark chocolate ice cream. They need to swirl something with a cheesecake ice cream. Why not do a birthday cake flavor similar to what Cold Stone offers? Anyway still not bad but as others mentioned they are kind of boring lately with their flavors. Anyway I give it a B-...maybe a C+. Like the mix ins and the caramel ice cream just not the chocolate.
The Talenti Hazelnut Chocolate Chip is very enjoyable but not blow my taste buds out of the water. B+
Finally the Ginger Molasses cookie. Favorite of the latest shopping spree. My wife loves it as well. Nice light cinnamon in the vanilla base and the mix ins are good. A-
Next time will try the Edy's Peanut Butter Pie frozen custard. Truthfully the "frozen Custard" line really hasn't been anything overly special but I have enjoyed several from the line so far so will give that one a go. I wish my local stores would get soem fo the better sounding Talenti flavors but alas they don't.

Private Selection Carrot Cake
I have always heard about this being a pretty good seasonal flavor by Private Selection (up there with Red Velvet Cake & Banana Cream Pie, which I have yet to find). I finally ran across it the other day and immediately threw it in the cart. The base is definitely reminiscent of carrot cake, and better replicates the flavor than most red velvet ice creams do. Although, it seems to be lacking many of the spices that I enjoy with carrot cake, and is extremely sweet. The density of the base is also not the most premium compared to many others either. The cream cheese swirl almost takes the ice cream overboard by further enhancing the overall sweetness, but does add a bit of grittiness to it. The carrot cake pieces provide a change in texture that is nice, but other than that, the flavor is lost within the carrot cake base. They are moist and chewy, and enjoyable, but unfortunately offer no change in taste. Finally, the chopped pecan pieces were an ideal mix-in for this ice cream. It needed a crunch and this definitely delivers. Most of them are chopped up pretty good, but they are a perfect match for the carrot cake base. I most likely would not scoop it again, as it didn’t blow me away, but it is worth the seasonal pick-up. If you enjoy carrot cake, just expect it to be an overly sweet ice cream replication. B-.

Recent purchases:
Most are forgettable or rated numerous times already (Cinnamon Buns for instance, an easy A for me), but here are a few gems that I hadn't tried before:
Graeter's Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Chip - I almost demolished the pint in 1 sitting, huge fan of this one. Grade: A
Talenti Oatmeal Raisin Cookie - Nothing ever seems to live up to BNJ's OCC, but I was pretty happy to see the decent amount of cookie chunks and raisins in here. Grade: B+
McConnell's Toasted Coconut Almond Chip - A BIG win in my book. Maybe just my unhealthy obsession with coconut, but almost demolished this in 1 sitting as well. Grade: A-

New Orleans Ice Cream Co. Mint Chocolate Cookie

Overall this is a mint lovers dream! The initial taste of the base had your mind jumping to thin mint. When dig into the crunchy cookie bits that are provided you get the perfect replicate of the outside of a thin mint cookie. The Cookie pieces are present from the top of the pint and enhance as you move down the pint to full pieces of cookies (think Graeters Cookies and Cream in size). The small additional of a minty swirl that provides a richer, denser, and flawless flavor to the pint is icing on the cake. On Second Scoop also raved over this pint, and labeled it their favorite mint ice cream. I personally am not the biggest fan of mint, but I could eat this pint again without hesitation it was so good. If i was a mint fan this would be an easy A.
Grade: B

The Breyer's Blasts! Somoa is good, very strong on the coconut flavor of the somoa cookies and a lot of mix ins; base holds it back hard though, very soft/gummy and melts fast (expected given the product). Still worth it for the price/macros and the good taste though if you are a fan of the cookie.

Harris Teeter’s Chips & Dough Ice Cream
I recently hit up a Harris Teeter’s market when I was out of town and wasn’t planning on buying their store brand ice cream until I saw the special for the week was buy 2 pints get 3 free so I figured why not, especially at $4/pint. The first one features cookie dough flavored ice cream with chocolate chips and chocolate chip cookie dough pieces. Now I know why these pints were on sale; this is definitely not a high quality/premium ice cream. The base is almost gritty and “dry” if that makes any sense. It tastes nothing of cookie dough and I would have guessed it to be plain vanilla had it not said otherwise in the description. The chocolate chip pieces are just that, nothing less and nothing more. They are really small in size ranging from whole mini chips to being chopped pretty thin. The cookie dough bites are few and far between. They are hit and miss when it comes to texture as well. Some are perfectly moist and chewy, while others seem somewhat dry/gritty. I have four more pints from this brand, so I am hoping this is the worst of them, although I’m not getting my hopes up. C

So...just another form of a waffle cone? I am disappoint. Should do well with potheads though I guess, not surprised 4/20 is the release date.
