On the subject of building muscle fast, what would it be?
I'm losing the motivation to hunt down bits of information all over the internet and learning bits at a time.
Don't look down if you don't want to deal with a problem.
A completely unrelated:
motivation killer: Over time i have noticed a disturbing trend I call the height to lean mass barrier. Even just casually glancing over this site and looking at about 50 stats in the bar on the left while reading forum posts I have seen 1 person under 6' over 200 pounds that wasn't grossly obese. The upper limit for ~5'10'' looks to be around 180. for 6'4''; 240. After awhile everyone's body starts to look essentially like the same homogenous mass following a roughly linear curve between height and lean weight. Weirdly it seems that strength increases can continue but the muscle growth doesn't follow at the same rate. At the end of the day seeing so much sameness makes it difficult to want to do a huge bench press if a few pushups will get about the same result. (Its completely possible that people just lied about all these stats and the videos i have watched to find out bench press maxes could be someone else or hollow plates or some other bull****… but assuming none of that is true i'm left with a long uphill climb to nowhere)
To save me from this thought I really need someone who breaks this mold to explain how that happened. What it took to put more than 200lbs or more of lean mass on a 5'10'' frame.

Starting strength is great once you have a base. The progressive overload drives muscle gains. I had a buddy that was 5'10 190 at about 12% body fat. He looked boss then stopped lifting and shrunk down to like 165 drinking beer and frat partying all day long

Get muscles in the gym. Get lean in the kitchen.
