Hi! I'm new to powerlifting(my first meet is in December) and was looking to see if anyone had recommendations for a good lifting belt and knee sleeves? Thanks!

SBDs should be your only option for sleeves, everything else is second best.

Titan Longhorn/Brahma or Inzer Forever for belts.

Can't make a solid belt reference as I just bought a belt a week ago and only used it once.....but I got the Nike belt (it was on sale) and I don't recommend it. It rides up to easily and I know it won't stay perfect in place but it's pretty ridiculous.

I frickin love my Elite FTS knee sleeves. Since I was born with very minimal to almost non-existent mcl's, they give me that extra little bit of support. Plus, they keep my knees warm between sets/events. I havent tried any other brand, so Im biased towards them.

Read the thread title and came in here to post the exact same thing, I have SBD's and the P2 Lever Belt myself and love both of them.

Here's a good video review/comparison of the 4 most popular sleeves used in powerlifting

Also, not trying to be too nosey but where are you competing in December. I noticed you're pretty close to me in location and I'll be competing in December as well at the USPA Thunder Throwdown in Huntington, WV

I train in eliteFTS sleeves, however, most federations do not allow them in the knee sleeves division because they allow neoprene sleeves only. So you may want to check your particular federations rule book on the allowed knee sleeves before purchasing.

Yep. I trained with the blue rehbands for years but as soon as I put on a pair of SBDs I've used the rehbands maybe once since. The SBDs are far, far superior. You're seriously doing yourself a disservice if you get the rehbands.

Inzer lever belt. If you need neoprene sleeves, get SBDs. If you want supportive knee sleeves, Elite FTS sleeves are great. They'll hold up a lot longer too, I've been using a pair of Super heavy Elite FTS sleeves for ~4 years and they're just as hard to get on as day one. Neoprene sleeves loosen up and give out a lot faster.

of all the belts I have tried the inzer 13mm lever belt seems to give the most support and be the best construction. heck the 10mm lever belt seems to give more support then most 13mm buckle belts from other manufacturers.
The Leather they use seems much better too, as the 10mm belts are made from a single piece of leather and well bonded to the suede inner and outer pieces. The 13mm uses 2 pieces of thick leather on the inside and is bonded so well it feels like one thick piece and they are well bonded to the suede inner and outer pieces. I ordered an in-stock black colored belt and it took 11 days to get it at my door.

for knee sleeves I am using a 20 year old pair of ace knee sleeves I got my sophomore year in HS, so cant recomend really. They are worn out, never offered any support really, I just use them to give warmth to my knees, as When I want support I use knee wraps as I compete in divisions that allow wraps. though I do more sets with my knee sleeves then wraps.

SBDs are very good as others have said and then I use belt from bestbelts.net and really happy with it.

Good folks, quality product and a lot of colors. Takes a month to get in hand.
