Hi! I'm new to powerlifting(my first meet is in December) and was looking to see if anyone had recommendations for a good lifting belt and knee sleeves? Thanks!

Read the thread title and came in here to post the exact same thing, I have SBD's and the P2 Lever Belt myself and love both of them.
Here's a good video review/comparison of the 4 most popular sleeves used in powerlifting
Also, not trying to be too nosey but where are you competing in December. I noticed you're pretty close to me in location and I'll be competing in December as well at the USPA Thunder Throwdown in Huntington, WVLast edited by TPAYNTER; 09-24-2014 at 05:14 PM.

Inzer lever belt. If you need neoprene sleeves, get SBDs. If you want supportive knee sleeves, Elite FTS sleeves are great. They'll hold up a lot longer too, I've been using a pair of Super heavy Elite FTS sleeves for ~4 years and they're just as hard to get on as day one. Neoprene sleeves loosen up and give out a lot faster.

of all the belts I have tried the inzer 13mm lever belt seems to give the most support and be the best construction. heck the 10mm lever belt seems to give more support then most 13mm buckle belts from other manufacturers.
The Leather they use seems much better too, as the 10mm belts are made from a single piece of leather and well bonded to the suede inner and outer pieces. The 13mm uses 2 pieces of thick leather on the inside and is bonded so well it feels like one thick piece and they are well bonded to the suede inner and outer pieces. I ordered an in-stock black colored belt and it took 11 days to get it at my door.
for knee sleeves I am using a 20 year old pair of ace knee sleeves I got my sophomore year in HS, so cant recomend really. They are worn out, never offered any support really, I just use them to give warmth to my knees, as When I want support I use knee wraps as I compete in divisions that allow wraps. though I do more sets with my knee sleeves then wraps.
