Thanks Andrew. That was definitely a chaotic week across all of Northern California. I don't remember ever seeing such strong wind storms across so much of the state at the same time. They really played havoc on the power lines and spreading sparks. One fire in our area started when someone had a blowout and the sparks from their rim on the road blew into some weeds.

I'm just glad I was able to still get some decent workouts in during all of that.

Thanks Tom. I'm just trying to maintain a little control of my diet here in San Antonio...and that isn't easy with all the BBQ and Mexican Food around here.

I didn't realize you were from this area. I grew up here too, in a small town called Smithson Valley between San Antonio and New Braunfels. I've been living in Northern California for nearly 20 years now and really call it home now but it's still nice to come back and visit my original home are when I can.

Glad to hear that at least the sumos have helped alleviate some of that. Have a great time in Texas this week!
Thanks Trent. Yeah I was trying to squeeze in as many of my workouts as I could prior to my trip because I wasn't sure how much I'd be able to do down here. I was able to get a visitor pass to a Gold's Gym here so it looks like I'll be able to get in 3 workouts this week which is nice. I'm planning to go do my first workout here in an hour or so. Gotta keep the Gain Train rolling.

Good workout today. My back was sore after flying here but the squats went OK. My depth wasn't great and I never felt 100% comfortable in that rack, but I was glad to get in there and get some decent sets in. For bench, I had a light day of 5x5 at FSL weight just to keep things moving. Tomorrow I plan to go back to the gym and do some deads.

Thanks Shane. Yeah JC is doing me pretty well. I'm taking a brief break from it this week and filling in with some random 531 stuff, but I'll be back on it next week when I'm back at home.

Bodyweight: ??? Pounds (Down ??? Pounds from 7/9) Didn't weigh today again

Workout Duration: 58:53.58 h:mm:ss (with 1:00 rest between sets)

Good workout today. Sumos are starting to feel pretty comfortable. My right hip/low back was a little sore but nothing like it has been. I was able to do my reps and walk around afterwards with no trouble at all...unlike my usual hunched over walk following conventional. My strength is starting to increase as well so that is a win-win.

I followed deads up with 5 BBB Bench Press sets. 150 felt very light there so I'll bump that up next time.

After bench I did assistance focused on legs and back. No nonsense there.

Thanks Ron. They've got BBQ everywhere here...which is perfect for me. I lived in Austin for a year a few years back and was right down the street from a Salt Lick. You're right about them being excellent...they got a lot of business (and money) from me back then.

Great work the last two days Greg! Very impressive numbers yesterday. Today looked a little lighter with more volume and accessory work. Glad you're able to get some training in down there. It's a good thing too because that Texas food will reverse your diet in a heartbeat.
