Maidana now has a rare chance of redemption after many fans called for a second chapter, after all, he did give the PPV king the biggest challenge for over a decade.

Chinos one of my favourite fighters ever along with arturo gatti and cotto, he did great the first few rounds but gassed which mayweather knew would happen this time around though maidana is gonna go into the fight lighter with alot more cardio and he will be able to drown floyd in a barrage of punches for alot more rounds. The only way he can win is if he gets floyd against the ropes and unleashes those big body shots not giving floyd any time to think, i noticed last fight that he landed one combo that was pretty effective 3 or 4 left hooks to the body followed by either an overhand right or a right hook to the head. When chino landed the body shots mayweathers left hand would drop for some reason and chino was catching him clean with the last headshot
Either way floyds gonna put up a fight obviously should be a good one

It's very much possible that Floyd 'figured him out', but could it not also have been that Maidana just happened to get tired after the output he was throwing during the first half of the fight? I mean his fighting style changed after he seemed to slow down. He wasn't being as aggressive, and I'm attributing that more to cardio than necessarily to Floyd 'figuring him out'.
We'll find out in 4 days I guess.OWE ME reps for life: dcarrera

It did look like Maidana took a few rounds off to get his breath back but on my scorecard I only gave Maidana 1 round after the 5th or 6th by which time Floyd was in control, also, Maidana probably had his second wind so it could well have been that he had gotten figured out.

anyone else thinks floyd came off a little insecure in this all access?
specially around the 10 females he has, gives off this awkward trying hard to get over his Ex vibe.
btw why do all of his opponent show their training and their game plan?
mayweather is an executive for the show and he gets to watch them train yet he doesnt let anyone film him, thats just stupid on maidana;s part.

Same result as the first fight. Of course Floyd would use one of his last few remaining fights against an opponent he already downed pretty convincingly.
As Pac is out of the question (Arum fighter) he should fight an up and coming, undefeated fighter like Keith Thurman. Unfortunately, to the casual boxing fan, no one really knows who Thurman is but of all the GB fighters out there at 147, One-Time is at the top of the list.

How can anyone complain about this fight? Its the biggest fight currently out there for Mayweather.
The first fight was a very good watch, Maidana ALWAYS comes to fight and press the action.
I had Mayweather 3/4 rounds up last time, lol at anyone who said 'Mayweather handled Maidana easy'
Cant wait for this.

Maidana has to keep Floyd against the ropes and have a ridiculous output to have any chance. Sure, he had big power at 140, but it hasn't translated to 147. He's more of a volume puncher at welterweight. Floyd will land the cleaner, more effective punches en route to a unanimous decision this time.
Also, is it just me or does this fight have absolutely no buzz whatsoever? Shocking for a Mayweather fight, as they're like a pop culture event.

You are out of your mind if you truly think this is the biggest fight out there for Floyd. It was 'okay' the first time I saw this movie and I definitely do not want to see this movie for a second time.
He only has 3 fights left and to waste one of them against Maidana is pointless yet expected by Floyd. I would much rather him face someone with a different skill set like Thurman or even Khan who IMO would provide a much more entertaining and challenging fight.
I don't care if Maidana always comes to fight (and I'm a fan of Maidana) but the result will be the same as the last fight. If Floyd had like 5-6 fights left, then fine...give Maidana rematch but with only 3 more fights left??? No thanks Jeff.
He should fight Thurman, winner of Khan/Brook and Pac and call it a career.Last edited by Vargas; 09-10-2014 at 06:07 PM.

Hopefully maidana takes the titles. Boxing has become all about ppv, mma is trying to reach that level.
