    Terrible Deadlift progress

    I have no idea what's going on, I am 6"1' (185cm), 147lbs (67kg) Started deadlifting 2 weeks ago

    I barely deadlift 123lbs (56kg) x 5reps (srs)

I can bench press 60kg with less effort. I progress much quicker on BP than on DL

Whenever I deadlift (56kg lmao) I feel back pain, like something is tearing, but its very mild. I have no problems or pain afterwards. I also find it very difficult to lift the weight, I really have to pull hard.

I copied form from this Zyzz vid:

    1. place your feet under the bar so the bar is right above the middle of your feet
    2. press your chest out, try to make your back flat. shoulders back
    3. Lift the thing without any momentum, in one movement
    4. dont pause too long between reps, but you can put it on the ground inbetween

    lmfao

Practice more, eat more. And who do you think you are? You think you've mastered the dead lift movement in two weeks by yourself? I can practically guarantee you form is off.

This. It takes time OP. Focus on your form every single set, from your first warm up set to your top set always be working on your form. The weights will increase over time, try to add 5-10lbs every week or every other week but only as long as you're not sacrificing form. Keep eating too!

    Simple fix.

Use your legs more, bend at the knees, keep torso proud, chest puffed out and shoulders back so that your back is actually FLAT and not rounded in that hump…

I don't have pain anymore when deadlifting, my mistake was that I was overarching my back.
