Twice The Speed - Vertical Jump Cure

    Anyone tried this program?

    twicethespeed.com/product-detail.php?id=9

They have a sale on goes down to $49 and I was thinking about picking it up.

Seems about as legit as any one of these training systems. "Grow Taller Overnight" made me question this guys product though.

That guy Jack Cascio is just after your money. I can give you better advice than him for free.

It works, did some of it and went from not touching rim to doing two hand grabs and dunking small balls. I'm doing it seriously this summer but I got VJC for free anyway

How'd the hell you get it for free? Haha

I've been tempted to buy some of the Twice the Speed programs, but just wasn't sure if its worth the money and it's just a scam?

But I have watched the young guy Jack coaches grow and develop into quite an athlete! But isn't that just part of advertising a products? Thinking you can become the advertised athlete, making you want to buy it? Haha

Wouldn't mind seeing some of the feedback on people that have bought it!

Thanks for the advice guys. Might just pick it up and see how it goes. If its rubbish at least I got it cheap. I'm actually waiting for the Bulletproof Athlete program from RTS but that seems to be taking forever to come out.

    Cheers

I got it free because I bought the regular twice the speed program and during that time period they also were giving out another program called TTS Elite and one of the bonuses to that program is getting VJC for free so I ended up getting 2 program's for free along with his original speed program

    No ****, Dick Tracy.

Of course he wants your money. He's selling a product. In our society, we exchange money for goods or services.

I don't know Jack Cascio and have nothing to do with him. Nor do I use the program. However, I have seen it and corresponded with people who use it.

It is a sound program and is at the bottom end of the price range for these things. Jack is on here sometimes and seems to offer excellent support for the product. You appear to have started training eight months ago and ac ouple of months ago were asking what exercises you should do to improve your vertical.

If I were OP, I'd pay for TTS.

I don't generally recommend products like that, but if you are to buy one, you might as well get it from someone who offers decent support.

All good. There's always risk when buying these things but I'm willing to sacrifice $49 to try it out.

Sweet. I guess you mean the first Vertical Jump Bible is free. Because it looks like they are selling a 2.0 program for about the same price as Twice the speed.

Thanks for letting me know about this one

    Couple of points.
    1. I don't think it's free. It's just widely available. Legality is such a small thing.
    2. You're right. It'll work just as good or better.
    3. Do you remember this post? The one where you say you disprove many of Kelly Baggett's theories?
    http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...post1110049483

Sure, you do. You just posted it today.

Now, I DO know Kelly and I like the guy a lot. I recommend his stuff. I'm just not sure what your angle is here.....

If you want maximum results, do a standard vertical jump training program (strength/power/plyos) with trunk strengthening exercises (which they all ignore) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17549950 and complementary electromyostimulation (which they all ignore) http://www.atomods.com/www/compex/pd...iSportsExc.pdf

Also wear negative heel shoes http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10521609 for a quick 1-2 inch increase in vertical. These are the types of shoes that track and field spikes are.

Yes I don't agree with a lot of things Bagget says, but he has a standard program that will still yield good results, here's the list:
    1. He claims that long legs make you a better sprinter or jumper. WRONG, looking at a journal that I will dig up when needed sprinters have about 1-2 cm SHORTER LEGS than average for their height. Feet are also smaller, with shorter achilles tendon levers
    2. Gives horrible exercises for hip flexor strengthening.
    3. Thinks that there are no scientific journals that prove that core strengthening improves vertical...WRONG
    4. Thinks no shoes can improve your vertical...WRONG, I've jumped in negative heel shoes (which are proven to work) and my vert increased 1.5 inches

You can find the full text of those journals by copy and pasting a part of the abstract into google.

My objections are that it's not worth paying for since similar stuff is available for free. There is no magical information in these ebooks you have to buy nowadays. Also, realize that vertical jump has a strongly genetic component; I doubt Vince Carter knows a **** ton of information regarding the vertical jump just because he can jump high. That aside, my current vertical is not high (27'' standing, 30'' running) due to inactivity, but I got my running vert to the mid 30s when I was on the high school track team.

It probally could help u, but i wouldnt pay that much for a generalized program. I create personalized program for less than a quater of the price and im an actuall strength coach.

If ur a begginer, life heavy and jump = improved vertical jump

When ur advanced then thats when u need a specific program. PM me if u got an questions on increasing vert jump or ask here and ill try get bak to u.

I bought the Jump Manual about 4 months ago, during the 12 week program i gained about 6 inches, went from touching 8'11 to touching 9'5 rim with 2 fingers. I'm a two legged jumper because when i tried 1 legged i barely touched rim and standing i got 2 fingers. If anyone is interested, you can PM but i say if you are going to buy a program, search them and find the best ratings. That's why i went to the Jump Manual, most proven and bought one and it does actually work. I never heard of twice the speed, i took around a month of Jump Manual to recover after 12 weeks (vacation for 2 weeks, and then light trying for legs 2 weeks and now going back into it, but changing a little because i need more strength over plyos).

I guess the most important thing is getting your workouts in and if one of these programs motivates you to do that you'll see progress

Looks like I'll do a little more research

At the end of the day most of these programs work, it's the attitude which is necessary to making gains. I'll post back with my results if anybody's interested once I've finished the program and hopefully I'll be dunking by then
    Bench: 255lbs (115kg)
    Squat: 320lbs (145kg)
    Deadlift: 430lbs (195kg)

I'm surprised you can't dunk already with a 37 inch standing vertical at 5ft 9. I can't dunk either but my standing vertical is probably 28 and running 33 and I can get an inch or two above the rim. Standing reach is 7ft 4 and I'm also 5ft 9.

Not me who has a 37in vertical, it's the guy in the video: Chris James running back recruit for Pitt

I'm not sure on my vertical but I can dunk tennis balls, small basketballs and volleyballs at 5'9. Still need a bigger vert to dunk the real ball in games, and to grow a bit too

Oh ok my bad. What do you squat and what's your vertical? If you don't mind me asking what is your routine for legs weekly?
