By the way...... the design of Noah's Ark has shown that it is the most stable boat ever built in human history.

It is everywhere actually. You should research the topic, because geologic evidence of a great flood is a debated topic.
It would explain why there are fossils in places they shouldn't be at, such as marine life high up in mountains.
It would explain why there are fossils that were rapidly buried and preserved.
It explains a whole slew of currently unanswered questions.
Every culture on planet earth has accounts of a great flood."Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me." - Psalm 23

Ok. In all serious. Have you ever dealt with skunks? I have. It's unbelievable.
I believe a skunk might be the most dangerous animal on the the planet. It doesn't just come out and kill you. It just ruins your life and makes every other animal run away from you whereever you go after meeting skunk.
How do you get not one but TWO skunks into a boat and all hell doesn't break loose.
I'm not buying it.EX IGNORANTIA AD SAPIENTIAM

Were you there to say it's real? When you consider the enormous amount of species that have gone extinct, and the species that have yet to be discovered, it simply would not be possible to construct a vehicle that could contain them all. That isbjust logic. Moreover, where is this boat or its remnants?

I think of it like the boat probably would have worked fine. But then Satan take two skunks of his pocket and throws them into the boat as it starts to rain.

anyone that has ever read any of my posts knows that i am not a proponent of any biblical story, but we see massive floods all the time, even in this day and age. it's very likely the Noah's Ark story recounts the events of a very large localized flood and perhaps the man had a boat and grabbed 2 of every farm animal he had and loaded up his family and survived the flood. as he and his family told the story the flood and boat got bigger and as the generations past 2 of every farm animal became 2 of every animal and a massive localized flood became a world wide flood.
there is substantial fossil evidence to suggest massive floods all over the place, if you visit the Grand Canyon you will find seashells in rock deposits 1/4 of the way down, which means that at some point that entire canyon was filled with sea water.
just something to think about.

why is the boat part ridiculous? i go deep sea fishing all the time, with a 50 foot boat we have 40-50 people, and can load up dozens of 80-100 pound tuna fish, why is it so hard to believe that someone could load up 2 lambs, 2 goats, 2 cows and 2 horses, a couple of kids and a wife on a large boat and survive a localized flood?
i'm not saying that the biblical account is 100% true, but it seems to me that it's more likely than not that there is at least a smidgen of truth to the origin of the story, before it became what it is now.

Are you serious?
Prof. Beer was part of the team on board "Mediterranean Explorer" that recently headed to the Black Sea off the coast of Turkey, the site where historians believe the great biblical flood occurred. EcoOcean and an international team believe they have found evidence to substantiate what is written in the Bible.Last edited by Paul Kreul; 08-23-2014 at 08:00 PM. Reason: negativity
