I was talked into doing my first art show (for fun) and tomorrow night is the artist's reception. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and checking out everyone's amazing work. All I can say is it's been quite challenging and a great learning experience for me.
My 3 entries for the show:
Wish me luck!National Level Competitor (Female BB)

Just upgraded my drone. Well to be more precise, my other drone crashed (Phantom 3 4k... don't ever get this version). This time around I went with something that has collision avoidance sensors, the DJI Mavic Air. After updating and registering etc etc, I finally took her out on her maiden voyage and snapped a few shots from my backyard.

^^Spectacular shots, ac. The drone is doing its job - shots otherwise never taken.
What river is that? The water looks very clean and clear.
P.S. KBKB and the others are amazing. But, I think that kimmie has found her calling. She has a great perspective which I connect to.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

I will seriously take you up on that in due course. Thank you.
Edit: Just wanted to say that everyone who has posted photos here are awesome. All are very professional. I view all of them and appreciate the time and expertise it takes to make a worthy shot. I am not a photographer, but I love nature and art.Last edited by Mark1T; 08-30-2018 at 08:03 AM.

I think the general consensus is that cats bring you dead animals because they think you are some kind of retarded cat that can't hunt for chit, so they take pity on you starving to death and feed you. Knowing cats I tend to disagree with that theory. Cats will not take pity on you.

Did my first "wedding" recently. I was contacted last minute by someone that couldn't find a photographer short notice or in their price range. I told them I had zero experience in wedding work, but told them I could provide an inexpensive service in exchange for the experience. To be honest, I really had no idea what I was doing, and I don't know how wedding photographers deal with the stress.
Anyhow, these are photos from the session. Critique would be appreciated.

You know my youngest sister is a wedding photographer and I honestly don't know how she does it LOL!
I know nothing about wedding photography but here's my thoughts...
The bride is so stunning and in the first pic the main focus/eyes should be on her only. There's too much going on in the back round and my eyes keep shifting towards it. Next time think more bride/less back round. In the 2nd pic I would've had her place her head on his shoulder looking in the same direction as him. Would give the feeling of looking in the distance towards their future together. In the last pic I would've had them looking at each other.
Beautiful pics nice job!National Level Competitor (Female BB)

I really like the photos you posted.
The only comment that I have is that some of these shots might have benefited from a shallower depth of field in order to isolate the subject(s) from the background. That said, I find the backgrounds to be interesting and compelling too.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35
