The new Merveil fight being another example. What kind of crack are they on - it's brutal on toasters and tedious as fuark if you're built for indirect damage (that's watching your traps, minions, and totems disintegrating immediately from the 90% of the screen covered by the water geysers). For introducing new delicate flowers to the game; well maybe the first act boss shouldn't be the hardest one. Honestly I don't know if they're on crack or their engine doesn't let them modify the cooldowns on monster skills (so the Geyser Storm activates just as often in Cruel and Merciless as it does in normal). Or if they even have cooldowns on them at all. They probably don't.
Meh. Chris said they were worried about this being the "season of the witch", but seriously, it's the archer that's been blasted through the hemisphere.
My Explodey Arrow dude used a plain white Short Bow until like level 50 something. It was the best in slot bow!level 37 but using level 6 shield and level 9 chest plate armor crew

LVL 47 Crit Bow Ranger now in Beyond.
Ice shot is actually great now. Puncture is strong even without being properly linked.
Tornado Shot is a welcome change from Split Arrow. Swap SA for TS asap if playing an archer.
I'm going full evasion, I have Ondar's Guile, Acrobatics, and Phase Acrobatics already and it's quite nice.
Waiting patiently for Beyond monster spawns to be balanced and given better loot drops, right now it's just tedious.
Remember to constantly upgrade your flasks when the next tier becomes available, flasks are sooo much better and stronger now.MAGA

Rerolled a GS Marauder in Rampage, currently level 42.
Friend lent me his Geofri's Baptism to level with. Add Herald of Ash and Hatred to the mix and I'm still melting everything in cruel.
Haku's missions are still the worst for my toaster. Latency shoots up and fps drops when I have to run back to the entrance with the karui soul. Haven't died though.
Tbh, I find the kill streaks more fun than the Beyond mobs and the kill streak bonuses aren't even that special.

Hit 45 on Rampage starting out act3. Had my first unique drop then 2 more right after it. 2x the MF hat and a nice Chest that gives crit charges.
I'm still just running Cleave+Multistrike+mana leech linked together and I'm just blowing thru everything. 1300 *** and over 1600 health. I 1 shot anything thats not blue/yellow.☻/

Reached my first map on fire trapper in Rampage at lv57 and I did by far the most damage in the party LOL. 1.2k damage and 900 damage over time on Fire Trap. Doesn't look like much, but it pretty much insta kills white mobs in lv66 maps solo, and sometimes kills blues with just one trap after a few seconds.

True Strike isn't worth it objectively; all three points should add up to 5% more damage; a single 15% phys will be 3 to 6% more depending on how much of it you already have.Originally Posted by Vagitarian

Lv 60 now and just found a Rainbow Strider from Piety. Also started using a 4L glove with CODT-EC-IC-ID, so I no longer get 1 shotted randomly. I still don't have any currency or maps though, maybe it's time to start selling some skill gems. Surprised at how poor I am currently, considering that I barely used any currency to craft things with.

I'll give GGG one thing: their creative guys who make the fluff are pretty great. Probably the best thing about the game, serious. The voice acting and writing here just destroys whatever Metzen is doing these days.

Traps are cool mainly cause you don't take reflect damage, but IMO detonate dead does more damage end game. I played fire-trapper up to around lvl 70 in the last 1-month hardcore race then transitioned into detonate dead for maps.
I actually might start up another guy like that again. Btw, what about the ele dmg nodes by the starting shadow area, those seem too good to skip out on.

Brahs, help me out here. Just started playing again when the new hardcore race released and rolled ranger planning to run Quill Rain. Luckily, I found a fawking Quill Rain around lvl25 . Is running LMP - Explosive arrow - ignite still solid with this bow? My favorite way to play by far. Dat attack speed

I have a Searing Touch in Beyond League if any of you bros want it. After dying 5 times I give up on that league. The Searing Touch is kinda low level so I don't think you can 6 socket it.
