after that, i dont see any new booty ass characters coming along to take on thanos. it took 10 years to get him on screen; he sent loki, red skull an army of aliens to invade. so if they decided to bring in adam warlock in ONE movie to op him and take out thanos i would feel cheated

Just saw it tonight. Wow. It didn't go quite how I expected...though tbh I'm not quite sure what I expected. But that was intense.

IW lived up to the hype boyos.

Wasn't perfect like someone mentioned, but the sheer amount it had going for it, credit goes to the writers and the Russo's to be able to pull it off. My problem is there was too many plot lines going on that you'd go like 30+ minutes without visiting one character, I mean with 4 or 5 big plot lines happening I understand, but I can see it being a problem for people. A movie like Black Panther with only the 2-3 plot lines going on is going to be more user friendly.

Favourite moments:

- Groot doing dick the entire movie then using his body to forge the handle for the hammer, that was awesome.
- Thor arriving in Wakanda when he goes full God of Thunder with the blue eyes and fuking wrecks; similar to how in Ragnorak when he is Mjolnirless and becomes the true God of Thunder on the Rainbow Bridge at the end with the lightning eyes.
- Pretty much everything Cap does. Will be a sad day when Evans leaves, he went from someone I didn't want playing Cap to being my favourite character.
- Spider-Man doing everything he does. His death in Tony's arms was really emotional, "I don't want to die", fuuu.
- Star-Lord getting pissed at Thanos even though he fuks it all up.
- The comedy in general is really well done because it comes from character interaction rather than just corny jokes. Didn't think it would have as much comedy as it did, but it mostly worked so I am fine with it.
- Thanos is one of the GOAT villains.
- I liked how Dr. Strange and Tony weren't buddies right off the start and only at the end did they become close, when Strange saw that the only way to win was to lose.
- All the deaths prior to the end, like Loki getting killed off right at the beginning. Killing off Gamora.
- Actually doing what we all hoped and kill half the universe, which holy fuk that ending just ending right away. Lady behind me was so pissed lol.
- Fuking Red Skull
- The using of the stones by Thanos was really cool to see live action. Reading Infinity Gauntlet years ago and seeing him use it now when they shine to show what power is being used, cool.
- lol @ Hulk not wanting to come out because he is scared after Thanos fuked him up at the beginning.

Things they could have done better(?) or what I wanted more of:

- I would have liked to see Thanos and Gamora's relationship built up a little more before he kills her for the soul stone. Just more to prove that he actually did care about her.
- More Bucky and Falcon
- Not announcing Guardians 3, Spider-Man 2, etc. basically invalidates the ending of this movie even though we all know a Spider-Man sequel was coming. But like you killed off 4/5 of the Guardians and we know there will be a sequel which means they will all come back so it cheapens the deaths to me. Like I know they come back when Thanos loses the Gauntlet to Adam Warlock and he brings everyone back (I wonder who will do it in Avengers 4, Cap. Marvel, Ant-Man?), but it's a minor nitpick.
- A little bit of back story on the Black Order. Other than the Ebony Maw, no one's name is actually saw and even Maw's name is half used.
- Killing off Idris Elba,

Will give it a week to digest and maybe see it in a week again.

I felt the same way about Chris Evans. I only really knew him from his Fantastic Four and Scott Pilgrim roles, and wouldn't have imagined him as a good Captain America based on his roles there. But by the time Civil War hit, my freedom boner was full tilt and felt like he was nailing it.

lol, was just re-reading parts of Infinity Gauntlet to remember how it ended (holy fuk is it complicated) and I spoiled myself on something that happened in IW which I forgot, though the movie sort of alludes to.

So Gamora is "dead" right when Thanos throws her off for the Stone. And at the end we see him in that place with young Gamora. In the comics Adam Warlock and Silver Surfer are sent to the Soulworld by Nebula when she gets the glove and that's how Warlock is able to get it off her eventually IIRC.

My point being, fairly sure Gamora isn't dead. She's just trapped in the soulworld and the scene we saw of her and Thanos at the end was a glimpse into the soulworld. Hopefully they do that instead of bringing her back with everyone else when whoever eventually gets the glove snaps their finger to revert all life back into existence. Would make more sense and be a lot cooler IMO.

Also, how the fuk they going to get the Gauntlet off Thanos, like bruh. In the comics it took the cosmic entities to get him pissed off enough that eventually Eternity showed up and Thanos went cosmic himself leaving his body a shell. This all taking place of course in space on a floating rock with a charred corpse of Nebula, Death watching and not giving a fuk. lol

Despite what a sequel for guardians of the galaxy might imply, i read somewhere that the directors wanted to use a completely new or mixed with new members of the team; so the events of IW wouldnt impact that project if that were the case

After my second viewing, I'm downgrading it from an A+ to an A-.

Still an awesome movie, no question, but I'm not quite sure I like it more than my previous favorite, Winter Solider, which has been a movie I can re-watch almost as much as Rocky or other movies I can watch 100+ times. With the second viewing, I felt the 2-2/3 hours a lot more (first viewing it didn't feel it at all). I was a little tired towards the third act, kind of waiting for the bigger moments.

Watched the first 4 episodes and I just can't get into it. I want to watch cause they got Brainiac and they just showed Doomsday in the latest episode, but it's fairly boring and the editing is beyond horrible. In 4 episodes I don't think 1 scene has had a good edit to end the scene, chit just cuts off randomly every time.

CGI is pretty decent though and it's not terrible for a SYFY show, but it's sort of corny.

I gave up on Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (even though I'd like to go back and catch up on it) and wanted another superhero show to fill the void.

I’ve been watching it on DVR. It’s not knocking my socks off and I’m not sure it’ll get another season but I’m at least glad they addressed the moral dilemma of Adam going back in time to ensure Superman is born but not to save Krypton.

I just got back from dead pool 2

it's pretty funny, much more violent and stylized from the original. it's good, but feels a little disjointed at the beginning but when it gets going it's a good time.

See I disagree. They introduce X-Force then promptly kill them all off the next scene (sans Domino who was great).

The entire movie revolves around Deadpool's character arc of trying to kill himself, trying to do good by Vanessa, trying to do good by the kid, etc. Not saying the plot was tight or anything, it was nothing special, but it doesn't need to be in a movie like this.

this. in the comic 'x force' deadpool was sympathetic to the kid they were hunting which was kid apocalypse- thats not who the kid is in the movie, just the story they lightly borrowed from. so to see a side of DP that cares about family, kids etc, while still being over the top was cool. the jokes were so sarcastic that alot of them went over the audience head or they just didnt care ; like i felt that DP was sending up logan and black panther in a few moments that went unnoticed by folks, until after and I pointed it out.
Ryan Renolds and the other director TK or what ever actually had a disagreement about the sequel being big budget. Ryan wanted to have it much more polished which is the way it ended up. i appreciated the other films low budget feel which made it funnier to me for some reason. this was good, but felt it had much more 'video game ' feel to some scenes.

I just finished reading infamous iron man, where Dr doom takes the mantle of iron man after secret wars... Pretty good imo. I love anything with Dr doom and to see him try to be a hero simply because he is kind of bored and has tried everything else was pretty good.
