If you are really high on those two, then yes, you could still put together a very solid roster. Megatron scares me a bit because I think he's going to have some nagging knee injuries to deal with, but if he stays healthy he's worth every $. Cheap Auction players I would shoot for to fill in the rest of the squad:QB-Andy Dalton/Jay Cutler,TE-Pitta, RB-Chris Johnson/Sankey,WR-Maclin,Terrance Williams, Justin Hunter, Mike Wallace, Nicks, Kelvin Benjamin

Where is Nainoa?
On another note... anyone want to go in together on a rotopass membership? It looks pretty good but its $60 for the season. Includes something like 6 sites, including rotowire and espn insider*Praying Zeke Goes for 40 Crew*

@kenonator
Thanks bud, welcome back
Team 1
Like:
You got both Dez and Forte
Cam should be good this season
Rudolph could be poised for a big year under Norv
Dislike:
RB/WR depth. You got no one behind Bush..and 3 WRs. Is this a short bench league?
Harvin as a WR2. I think he's overvalued this season and prefer Michael Floyd or Crabtree ..even DJax at similar ADP
Team 2
Like:
Cam
Reed at TE, another late TE I like this season - you might want to consider picking up an extra TE for security though
Can't go wrong with Charles and Nelson
Dislike:
Ya didn't get Carlos Hyde with the gore pick, or Kniles Davis to handcuff Charles
DJax in a ppr is meh, there were probably better options

In my main league I have the 10th pick... seriously considering not taking a RB until the 3/4 turn. Here's two teams I've ended up with:
Dez
Julio
Gronk
Cruz
Ben Tate
Ray Rice
Ridley
FJax
Kaep
Josh Gordon
Ladarius Green
Britt
Boldin
Houston D
Greg the Leg
and
Dez
Julio
Gronk
Andre Johnson
Crabtree
Ray Rice
Ridley
FJax
Jay Cutler
Lamar Miller
Jordan Reed
Josh Gordon
Britt
Broncos D
Phil Dawson
Ryan Tannehill
lastly
Demaryius Thomas
Dez
Ben Tate (running backs were flying off the board, and he's actually an established starter)
Frank Gore
Jordan Cameron
Torrey Smith
Kaepernick
FJax
Justin Hunter
Riley Cooper
Josh Gordon
Broncos D
Carlos Hyde
Jordan Reed
Andy Dalton
Gostkowski
I actually like these teams a lot. 10 man/ start 2rb, 3wr, 1flex. Yes, I know that the runningbacks for the most part are question marks, but they have potential to do some damage. I'm a lot more comfortable with these teams than teams where I force myself to grab an rb during the first two rounds, and have crappy receivers to show for it. tbh it's hard to not have a good team in a 10 man, no matter which route you take
I think putting all your eggs in the Ridley/Rice/FJax basket is a mistake
less money in the pool should equal lower prices for players
other factors include how many player slots there are and how much money you get to spend..so I can't say anything definitively

Actually, that's exactly what I did. I nominated Hauschka with my first pick. Someone ended up paying $2-$3 for him. I also nominated Seattle DEF. Someone paid $9. I just let other people nominate the players I really wanted. I fully intend to pay $110-$125 for my top RB and top WR and then just sit and watch everyone try to budget their money evenly and watch it dwindle. No way I should have gotten Cam for $7, but by the time he was nominated, nobody had the money to outbid me. Also, NEVER jump the bids (a mistake I made last year); you just end up overpaying for players that way.
Amazingly, Brandon Marshall went for $66 in the mock draft, which was the most anyone paid for any player.Last edited by The_Standard; 08-22-2014 at 09:34 PM.

QB - Andrew Luck
RB - Matt Forte
RB - Leveon Bell
WR - Julio Jones
WR - Cordarrelle Patterson
WR - Kendall Wright
TE - Jordan Reed
K - Steven Hauschka
D - Broncos
BN - CJ Spiller, Chris Johnson, Ray Rice, Russel Wilson, Brian Hartline, Charles Clay
How did I do and what should I try to improve on?

I'm not a big fan of your WR2 or WR3, but time will tell; they could both have a good year. Your RB Bench is pretty gross to be honest; I don't like it at all. I'd rather have Tate and MJD over the guys on your bench. You should have drafted another WR in lieu of Russell Wilson.
Positives: Obviously, RB1 and RB2 look pretty good. Andrew Luck is a good pickup, and looking at your other players, it doesn't look like you overvalued him. Hauschka and Justin Tucker are my two favorite fantasy kickers. Good move grabbing Charles Clay with Reed's injury history.
Edit: Sorry yuja. Don't mean to steal your thunder in your own thread.

Yeah Cam for $7 was highway robbery, props for that
Maybe next season I'll do an auction draft..if I can find a 12 team league. 10 team leagues just aren't much fun anymore with all the depth
I don't like Bell this season, he's probably going to end up splitting carries with Blount. Also I would've tried to take someone with a better floor instead of Patterson (like Floyd or Crabtree). Kendall is okay as a WR3 but I'd rather not. I'd prefer T-Will or Colston, even Edelman at similar ADP
Bench looks pretty good. I would've taken another WR somewhere because you start 3 WRs, but only have 1 WR on the bench

starting lineup looks stacked as fuk
i'm surprised mccoy dropped to you at 3, and julio at the turn
what does the rest of your bench look like besides Ingram and Wilson? Also, having two players on the same team is not a bad thing, evidenced last season by owners who had both Demaryius Thomas + Decker/Welker. Both Julio and Roddy are locked and loaded and should put up good numbers this season (barring injury). If you want extra security I'd scoop up Harry Douglas off waivers, just in case if Julio or Roddy were to miss time.
I like Pitta, Cutler picks
Only thing I dislike is the Hilton pick..I feel like last season was an anomaly because of all the injuries the Colts had. Their WR corps are looking pretty crowded this season with Wayne, Nicks, the two TEs, Moncrief + Hilton
overall 9.9/10
