    1) it's ppr
    2) you can start a qb in the flex

It's a 10-teamer. Our starting lineups look like this:

    QB
    RB
    RB
    WR
    WR
    WR
    TE
    QB/RB/WR/TE
    K
    DEF

I'm just wondering what my strategy should be for the draft? Do you think I will normally start a second qb in my flex or a wr since it's ppr?
2 QB league = draft those QBs ASAP

If not, you're going to find yourself digging through the bottom of the barrel for a starter

You can practice 2 QB drafts here: http://draftwizard.fantasypros.com/s....jsp?sport=nfl to an extent

If QB scoring is standard I'd put a QB over a WR in there any day. More consistency.

Draft strategy-wise you want guys who will catch a ton of balls since it's PPR. However, don't pass up on guys that don't catch balls if they drop far enough.

I don't particularly like 3, because I see AP as a slight downgrade from Charles/McCoy

Not a big fan of 10 either

just spit balling here. What about AJ Green + Ben Tate for Jordy Nelson + Reggie Bush? is that a viable trade? who would come out on top?

nvm. I asked if he'd be willing to involve Green in a trade for a RB and he said the only way he'd be open to trading Green is if Jamaal Charles was involved in the trade. this fool is crazy.
What do you think would be a good trade between these two teams? I don't think a trade is gonna happen anyways, he overvalues his players.

-asked about AJ, he wants Charles
-asked about Brees (just to see how much he would over-value him) and he said Charles+Foles+[upgrade at WR]
-asked what he would be willing to give up for Bush, he said he'd do Decker/Wallace+Woodhead/Moreno for Bush+K.Benjamin/K.Wright

Would've taken two WRs at the 10/11 turn, DT + Dez.

Don't see anything brah..he needs RB help but has nothing to give back in return

I'd rather wait till the season starts before doing any trading

I can see the reasons why someone would pick Forte over AP, especially in ppr

Better offense for sure, and Forte outscored Peterson last season too

Another reason I dislike the 3 spot, I can get similar value at 4 and 5 with Forte and Lacy

Kelce and Bowe will prob battle for number 1 receiving option not named Jamaal Charles.

I wouldn't compare him to Julius Thomas bc the QB situation... maybe Jordan Cameron from last year?

Would still take if he ends up as Jordan Cameron of last year.

Need a backup plan for Jordan Reed and his damn concussions.

my league loves them tight ends.
if you look deeper you might find Tebow there

Eifert and Graham lite (G. Graham) would be my later choices...but not willingly lul. Maybe whoever emerges out of the Packers 7 TEs will be a contributor

don't even have a kicker atm. will drop Travis Kelce depending on his performance in the noon game for a kicker in the late game/monday night game.

Hey mate, I posted this in the early birds thread and it got one helpful response and he was in the same boat as me and didn't really know which way to go. Here is the scenario -

    Standard scoring 10 man league.

You land at 4-6 and you end up taking Lacy or Forte.

In round 2, say one or two of Murray/Ball/Bell/Foster are there or one of AJ/Marshall/Julio, do you think it's worthwhile taking a RB? Each of those RBs could be RB1's if things go well but there's a risk in all of those players. The WR is basically going to be WR1 unless they get injured. With the lack of depth in RB's, I've found it difficult to make the decision one way or another. If you go the RB route, you can still get some solid WR's in the 3rd and 4th rounds whereas if you go the WR route, you might get lucky and get Stacy in the 3rd but that's unlikely imo. You most likely get a Gore/Gerhart or something similar.

It's only my second season so I'd like to get some more experienced players to give me some input if possible and it would be much appreciated!

Do you think it's just personal preference from here or do you think there is a slight advantage one way or the other? I've done a ton of mocks and this is a pretty common dilemma it seems.

    Thanks in advance

    Sup man,

In your case I would take Murray, followed by Green, then Ball, then Marshall, Julio, Foster and Bell

If I grabbed a second RB (i.e Murray), I would aim for a few top WRs leftover in the third like Jeffery (highly unlikely but just putting him there), Brown, Allen and then either grab a TE like Gronk/Cameron or continue picking out WRs

    I feel a lot more comfortable taking my RBs early than playing the guessing game between platoons (Vereen/Ridley, Bell/Bush, Tate/West, Trent/Bradshaw, Spiller/Fjax, Mathews/Woodhead/Brown, Sankey/Green/McCluster, Martin/other RB/other RB)

If you could get Stacy in the 3rd to go with Green..that would be pretty good as well, but it's not guaranteed. Gore is a 5th rounder in a 10 man, so if you do go WR in the 2nd I would be looking to target him as well as Rashad Jennings. Then, after you gather a few WRs I'd look to pick up the leftovers of the RB tandems like a Ridley, or J. Bell, Rice/Pierce..etc

My best suggestion to you is to mock and see for yourself which team you like more. If you grab Murray and realize there's a lot of RBs later and not that much WRs..maybe consider going Green instead

it's very situational and you don't always want to be stuck in a RB WR or RB RB mindset going into a draft, because you'll reach for players and pass over better ones

Yuja bro, I'm in a bit of a unique situation this year because I traded a lot of star players away for draft picks last year.

I'm in a 10 man league and own picks 2, 10, 14, 16, 19, 31 and 39. I don't pick again until the 9th round after that but I should be stacked. I just want to know what you would do in that situation with those 7 picks? I don't like to go in aiming for certain positions but I would like to at least have 2 stud RB's and WR's. I'm debating whether I should take one of the big 3 QB's or wait till later and stack up other positions. Also, any guys in particular you really like in that 2nd-3rd round range?

    14 team league, standard scoring.

I've got the 14th pick. Which direction would you guys go in? half the people in my work league probably dont watch football so I'm assuming theyll choose best available player.

I'm assuming there will be tons of WR's available like Dez, Julio, AJ Green. But RB seems scarce this year. Should I load up on RBs with my first 2 picks? Thanks.

12 team standard. Peterson, McCoy, Charles, Forte, Lacy, Calvin Johnson and Dez are all gone (we have a different 'optional' keeper type set up). I have first pick.

Lynch (will this be his down year?)
    Manning (can he repeat?)
    Foster (ehh...)
    D. Thomas (this early?)
Graham (never took a TE this early)

Thoughts? Leaning Lynch but I'm not in love with him.

WR3 after the top 5 RB's is not early to take Thomas or Graham.

It is very early to take Foster IMO.

Unless you have 6 point passing TD's it is early to take a QB.

    Lynch is reasonable.

Why are people burning early pics on WRs when it's so deep this year? Barely any good RBS or TEs. I'd be waiting on WRs and QBs for later in the draft, even in PPR.

I think TE is as deep as it's ever been actually

who would you wait for? i was looking at Gronk in the 3rd. If he's healthy, he can win you your league.

I like Cameron, but I don't know. I like Reed, but he gets hurt. Ertz is nice, but I wouldn't feel comfy having him as my starter right now.

I'd wait for whoever is there really. Lots of later choices that won't suck. You can wait a little bit and get Reed, Witten, Pitta, Rudolph, Olsen, whoever you like among them/when they are available.
