Whats funny is I've never heard a story where someone gets coined and deserved it(at the time). Always just some random event that gets them coined.

Coined yesterday for the first time in 12 years. By the HAF/A2... for doing my job. :-\

One of my SSgts was also coined, and that made me happier than getting one myself.

Agreed! Most people I know that have been coined get them for randomly being in the right place at the right time. This one was one of those situations where the general was coming to speak to the wing and units submitted names with write ups for coins. There were about 10 of us total for the wing. He put official photos of me and the the others from my squadron on one of his slides in his briefing... wasn't expecting that and was super embarrassed. Especially because he mentioned my being a PTL with his silly unclassified version of my job "bullets." I'll forever be known as being coined for being a ptl, lol.

I have, and actually been repped a bit in there. Measlies, but had gotten up to 500 or so before my first and only neg. Misc is funny. I lurk more than anything for the lols while wasting time on my phone. Used misc lingo irl yesterday... hubby is not aware. He asked why I was still in my uniform at 8pm and I said "too lazy to change crew checking in" his face said "negged."

I shall refrain from posting in any other threads while red, reds seem to be crazy once they have nothing to lose... I'll still lurk for funnies and will probably actually start keeping my log up to date.

Apparently one of my buddies was competing against me for Airman of the Quarter. I feel pretty chitty because apparently she was actually trying to win it herself. Mean while I was forced to do it and fed all the good bullets by our supervisors. Kinda f'ed up. I guess I get some shiny award or something for winning though.

Good job on the win, sorry it was against a friend. Remember, as it was said before, even if it feels jacked up to be "fed" the bullets, you still accomplished them and obviously your leadership saw reason to groom you for the award. Maybe you friend will be in that spot next quarter.

Btw, to all of you, thanks for all the reps to get me back to green. I'm getting there. -93k (from -275k) now. And not one glute spread needed. :-)
