    Knee pain while squatting

    About a week and a half or two weeks ago I smacked my knee hard on something. Since then, i have been able to walk fine as it seemed like a bruise. Today during squats I felt pain in my knee. I don't feel this when walking..is this an injury? What should I do? Thanks

    I've had something like this, try consuming a fish oil tablet each day. Helped me. Also don't do squats heavier than what you can do with good form, your knees should never start to go inward when you stand up from a squat.

    **** off with squats until it doesn't hurt. If it continues go to a doctor. Worst thing you could do is keep going and then have your knee explode and be out for 6 months when you could have just gotten some simple treatment and been back at it in a week.

    If I ever have knee pain lifting with wraps seems to help. Since you just hit it im guessing its just brused.

    You smashed your knee on something and are getting pain from it. Sounds like an injury. Otherwise make sure you are using good squat form, knees pushed out past toes.
