I'm likely to buy another Legend 3103 in the future, or I guess I should say the knockoff version.......LOL

At $349 shipped or even lower during BF sales it's a phenomenal second bench to have lying around.

Legendary bump, sent off for a quote today while I'm waiting on REP's HR-5000, if they could punch some holes in the sides for my Mono's I'd seriously consider something from Legend. Basically asked them for this rack in the same color scheme (no lower crossmember bar storage).

I wonder if they could move those cross member bar storages in a bit and it would give you a nice place for a dbl landmine

You know, I had a landmine once and could never really get into using it.

Even bought the BWTG multi-grip attachment and didn't like it.

Same here. I still have it , it just rarely gets used because of having to set it up. If I had a spot that I could leave the bar in it and had the room to use it there maybe it would see more use.

I sold my spare/landmine bar but what I did was kept it in the landmine, when done with the workout, would just put it up against the weight storage peg for the 5s, then put a compression collar on it so it didn't fall on any kids. Kept the space clean and only needed to lower it for work outs so it didn't take any extra room otherwise

Just FYI for those who might ask in the future, Legend is unwilling to drill extra holes into the sides of their racks.

Yep, they'll custom cut to size for no charge but they don't like changing the uprights otherwise

Waiting on their quote still, but from looking at Ironcompany I'd say that almost rules out going with Legend Fitness. Great stuff for sure, but I'll pay more for the 'Standard' Legend 3142 and get less functionality while still having to drill holes in the uprights. That REP HR-5000 seems like THE half rack to buy, I haven't been able to find anything even remotely close in value.

Did you see the facebook link I posted in the other thread? IC is much more expensive than going with Legend directly.

That's why I messaged them yesterday about getting a quote, I remember someone saying it was better to go directly through them (one of the benches I think). They'd have to land pretty darn close to $1350 shipped, then on top of that I'd still have to UHMW the spotters and wouldn't get the nicer sandwhich style hooks that come with the REP rack. Legend is Legendary though for quality, I know it would be incredibly well built and would fit the platform/ceiling height well.

I don’t recall paying very much for the UHMW on the beefy spotter arms. Where legend falls behind is putting uhmw on the the attachments where they contact the uprights. Some McMaster self adhesive uhmw does the trick for cheap though.

They wan't $25 for the arms, I'll just get some from McMaster or re-purpose what I have lying around.

Might sound silly but I think I have some thin rolled rubber flooring that I could cut into strips for free.

Pay the $25 please. The strips are thicker and screwed in. You’ll save a few $ initially, but the strips from legend will look better and last longer. One of my only complaints about legend is that this is not included as standard equipment.

Yeah, this. You're spending almost $2k on a rack. Do it right the first time.

I agree with the above. Don't cheap out now, you've come this far. It will look so much cleaner.

Haha, twist my arm. Sent an update to Legend to go ahead and add the UHMW to the spotter arms.

Congrats on the new rack, you made the right decision, I didn't have UHMW fitted to the spotter arms on my 3133, whilst it was relatively inexpensive to purchase UHMW and screws and no hassle to fit, I still wish I'd had it fitted by Legend.

Figured I'd be messing with a solution for my mono's so why create an additional thing to adjust if Legend can do it easily.

Just wish they would go ahead and drill some side holes for me, if it's made in house why not? I'll pay LOL
