Honesty I’m very disappointed in legend. Pad is easy for them to replace. Which part is off center, back or seat. Honestly hard for me to tell about the handle.

You are NOT being too critical! That is not acceptable. Legend is supposed to be a Premium product and the workmanship of what you received was not

Sorry for your disappointment. I think Legend will make it right but you still have to wait which sucks

It's hard to tell. I'll need to play around more tomorrow with it to figure it out. They are already working on a replacement pad. Not worried about the handle, just bugs my ocd.

That's really not what I expect from Legend, definitely not acceptable. I've bought 2 racks and 2 benches from Legend without a single issue, they do appear to have taken their eye off the ball recently, firstly Urban's rack and now your bench.

For a $1k bench, you shouldn't have to accept even something like a handle that is not aligned properly. Really disappointing and hope they make it right

Agreed 100%. I recently did a big installation job for them and for the first time I was a little disappointed in the finished product. That bench is not acceptable for the price you paid and I hope they take care of you.

Took some more pictures this evening after work. Tried to adjust the bolts again and slide the pad around but didn't help. I got a level out and these are the pictures of the tubing the back pad rests on. Is it possible the tubing is bent?

Wow over $1k, they sure went up on the 3103 and the quality of their product/service appears to have diminished. You certainly aren't out of line at all and deserve a full replacement bench (frame, pads and all), or the option of a full refund and for them to let you keep that monstrosity to do whatever you want with it...either way they better make things right for you and your hard earned money.

Yikes. I'd be mad if I got a Rep bench that bad (I had one not even that bad and I still emailed them about it), forget a Legend one. I was really interested in Legend stuff before but I have to admit I have been a bit soured on them after these last two big posts. Guess if I decide to upgrade my rack I'll either go Rogue Monster, Sorinex, or Prime.

Must be the clear coat finish and custom logo on the head covering, Legend just quoted me $750 shipped not long ago.

I would take it up with Legend. It's substandard.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Thought I'd share a response I got from Legend Fitness about the status of my 918 Leg Ext/Curl.

Also, I know that production is taking a little bit longer than originally anticipated—for that I have to apologize as well. We’ve been absolutely slammed recently, so we’ve increased our shifts from one 8hr shift to two 8hr shifts a day (thus doubling our capacity). Despite the double-time, it’s still an uphill battle getting equipment out the door
This may explain some quality issues that have been reported here recently.

This shouldn't be a surprise. People with means like to work out too and many are realizing the benefits of a home gym that is as good as, if not better than, a commercial gym.

Increased demand shouldn't result in a lower quality product manufactured by the company, Legend just dropped the ball.

Bumping an old thread for info. Looking to buy a bench to upgrade from my IM SuperBench(original). Narrowed it down to 3: Legend Fitness 3103($800+), Precor DBR119($1345), and Vulcan Pro(Precor clone)($600)all prices are shipped. Vulcan isn’t available, with no ETA. I have personally used Precor’s earlier iteration of this current model the Icarian SuperBench and loved it. I have no experience what so ever with the Legend or Vulcan whether with use or personal exposure. I’m a smaller dude @5’6” 170lbs. but push decent weight. I want to like the Legend but I’m nervous buying blind, especially given the last few posts exposing QC issues with build. I’d lose my sh*t if it came tweaked, damaged, or structurally not square/sound. I’ve also read issues with pad density it being too soft. I can’t stand squishy pads! All in all without $$$ being an issue which out of these 3 would you currently choose? I know probably not the best place to post, but I believe you guys could inform better on the Legend. Lastly, what’s the length of the seat pad on the 3103? Thanks.

Bumping this thread to ask about a Legend power rack. I'm planning to purchase the 3171 open top rack from Legend and need it to be 84" inches high. The salesperson I spoke to said Legend can't cut it down any further than the stock 89" size. Does anyone have experience with changing the height of Legend squat racks? I remember reading that Legend does that for free to custom heights.

Had my half rack cut down to 84" through Legend last September, there was a $50 custom cut fee and they could take up to 10" off the rack.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I posted a comment on Legend's instagram post of 3171 & they replied promptly. Apparently the 3171 rack can only be cut down by 3 inches at the most. I measured my basement again and 86" will fit just fine - just can't have a platform like I was planning to. Pretty happy that it'll work, especially since they said I wouldn't lose any of the weight horns with the 3" cut.

Very nice! Love the open rack design. As much as I like platforms (always wanted a Powerlift rack with integrated platform) it's not much of a sacrifice. If you were a dedicated olympic lifter...then yes but otherwise I'd be pretty happy with this outcome.

My guess is it can only be cut down 3" to still maintain 6 weights horn. Perhaps they could cut more off but you have to agree to less weight horns. Not sure, they cut mine down 3" for free so I didn't go past the point being discussed

I put the order in! I had them switch it to 5 pegs so that I can store full size plates on the bottom 3 pegs. Are you able to store full size plates on your bottom two pegs when you have 6 per side ?

Anyone know if this is a Legend GHD? I bought it from a commercial gym that was upgrading. There's no markings on it anywhere. I just think it shares some similarities with Legend's current GHD. Mainly the angle of the handles, handle covering, the position of the clamping knob (it's missing on mine), the design of the foot rollers.

The tubing on mine is 2.5" square, and the rails are 2" square.

Still enjoying my Legendary rack, no signs of slowing down! Atty this thread reminds me, you've had the Legend Leg extension & hamstring curl for a long while, what are your thoughts on that machine? I've been eyeballing combo units lately, was it worth the money?

I like it, but the reality is that the power curve (right terminology?) drops off at the top of the curl. But, it's plate-loaded and Legendary!

Yeah, I thought maybe some bands could be rigged up to fix that. Still trying to decide on whether to go with a plate loaded machine or wait for a selector style to show up on FB Marketplace.
