-Cormier faced Hendo, who is a top 10 LHW, and thoroughly dominated him
-Mir, Nelson, Barnett and Bigfoot were all either top 5 or top 10 HW's and were all thoroughly dominated
-JDS isn't a gatekeeper. He's the second best guy in the division and it isn't close. If he's a gatekeeper, then Edgar, Bendo and Faber are gatekeepers

he beat patrick cummins (3rd tier) and Dan Henderson who didn't even make weight (2nd tier), he should have had to beat a gatekeeper decisively (Glover or Davis) for the title shot

I think Jones has what it takes to win, obviously. Striking and lankiness to use it. He seems to have good wrestling, but probably nowhere near DC's. I think DC has a legitimate shot at taking the title. So does Gus.
