Bad outside conditions leading into this session, probably shouldn't have taken 424. It was moving until I pitched onto my toes and I missed somewhere I never miss. Screwed up, going to try and kill the squats tomorrow and next session to get my momentum back.
Bench was flying today, and on my big double of the cycle the spotter grabs the bar... yay. Going to do it Saturday again instead. Trying to continue working on shoulder external rotation so my bicep aids will stop

Really fun day, best meet performance so far with a terrible meet prep leading into it. More motivated than ever to kill it now. Failed 314 well above my sticking point because of my scapular issue that keeps popping up at max lifts, so that's now my biggest weakness in the bench. My biggest weakness in squats is tipping forward, and deads are getting a make over.
Going to make some big changes now, see how they work. Conventional deads since I'm taller and sumo is just difficult to get in position, and adjusting my bench technique a bit to maybe sacrifice a little bit of arch for more leg drive. I really need to put on weight and I'm putting extra effort into hitting my nutritional goals everyday. After a few weight drops last cycle after a day of not hitting calories I got off track a bit and was basically maintaining for a few weeks. If I do another meet as an 83kg, I fuarked up lol

well done mate
sad to see you fail a bench to snoop and dre
and happy to see that you're moving up a class, I'm expecting 20 inch guns when you weigh the same as I do. Srs though it would be cool if we weigh the same amount but I have a feeling you're gonna take this bulk real slow.lack of strength log:

Thanks bro, I was sad to fail that bench too. Was the last bench of the flight and had a good amount of hype from announcer + audience. Oh well. I'm going to take it pretty aggressive this time, I'm planning to be about 191/~86-87kg in December where I'll likely compete again. 1dayImay
I'm going to give it a serious shot. No reason my deadlift should suck and make this slow of progress. I pulled 502 6 months ago....

I hate front squats still lol, but I think they're going to help for that reason. Triple on comp bench was suppose to be @8 but I keep hitting this wall do to uneven extension and descent so I know it's a scapula issue or external rotation. Going to do more work for that.

Been really busy working real estate full time and going to school full time so double logging on both RTS and here got old really quick. Strongest I've ever been finally, been doing boring hypertrophy work with lots of variations. Hopefully going to compete sometime in December at my first national level meet. Weighing ~186
Highlights from this training cycle so far:

Finally into strength block after 2 cycles of hypertrophy work. Up to 190lbs and loving eating all though just had wisdom teeth yanked yesterday so no training and eating for a bit. Keep reaggrevating my left hip ever so slightly but training through it and addressing it through mobility/stability and finally learned how to squat properly. Signed up for meet in December as a 93kg finally. American open so I will get crushed in terms of placing, but I want to secure a 1300 total by the end of the year.
Finally hit "3 plate" bench too

So 7 days out from next meet, weighing 193-194 and by far the strongest I've ever been. The hypertrophy/strength/peaking block periodization is really working well for me and I'll likely continue running my programs like this. Here's the highest lifts from the cycle:
I want to start logging again now that I have my schedule figured out with working full time and going to school full time as well. I'm thinking about adding how my work is going to keep me on track for that since I'm self employed and have wanted an outlet to document my journey, but time may be an issue there. We'll see how it goes

Was really feeling the fatigue on Monday, but now today Wednesday the weights are moving very well. I didn't use my normal bench set up because of commercial bench but my arch felt about normal without it. Might experiment with that next cycle.
Bench moved insanely fast, almost too fast. Since I always seem to go 2/3, going to stick with my planned attempts and hopefully smoke them. I'd normally take the rest of the week off until Sunday when I compete but unsure if I should do a day with like 50% on Friday. More on the doing it side since it will only help if anything. We'll see.

Great day, had a really healthy mindset going into this meet. Somewhat under executed with what I wanted goal wise but happy overall with it.
Squat was somewhat of a nightmare, almost got timed out on my opener. They didn't announce when the meet was going to start and just kind of started with no count down, I was not expecting that, so I ran out from the restroom after hearing my name all the way across the IWF hall in my romaleos, and hit my squat opener completely outta breath after sprinting and throwing on my wrist wraps lmao. Missed my last warm up so went straight from 375 to my opener where I'd normally take 405ish between that. Still moved okay, but went a little under my "average" planned second attempt. 451 flew up, so I went with my middle of the road 3rd attempt at 474. Just didn't have it in me on the day.
Bench went the best out of all my lifts, like it had in the training cycle leading into this. Went 3/3, nailed all my attempts exactly as planned. Feelsgoodmayne. Moved me into 2nd in total, so played deadlifts accordingly, and wanted to secure a 500+ meet deadlift. Deadlifts went about as usual, 518 was just too heavy on the day as well.
Pretty happy with the day and placement overall. I feel like I have a good idea of what to work on, going to lay some ideas out next post.
