Only 3 of us were there playing on the turf... it was fun! My knee is definitely NOT STABLE. Even with the brace. It almost gave out on me a few times. I know how fast I can do things now... which is rather slow.

Friday Sept 5: Cardio of some sort...

One weight lifting workout a week has me feeling really wussypoof. But it's just been so busy, and I've felt like crap... In good news, my weight is dropping (shown above), and someone told me I look like i'm getting jacked/buff, despite the fact that I gained a solid 20lbs since they last saw me - this tells me it's not ALLLLL fat... Feeling a little better than I did yesterday, but I'm definitely not in the clear yet... got a golfball sized swollen gland thinger, one side only. Not as stuffy... throats so sore. head feels funny. I'm on the Dayquil(nyquild)+Vit B Complex+Vit C+Vit D+Multivit stack for now...

I was drinking fresh ginger + Squeezed Lemon + honey + hot water yesterday... couldn't take it to work. Should've though!! I'm not sure I'll be able to get decent echinacea today... and I've never come across/heard of elderberry... I will have to do some googling now lol

I'm still sick. My throat feels so raw. The nose issues have been held at bay so far... I woke up a little sniffly this morning but it's cleared up with the dayquil/shower/lots of noseblowing. I'm sore in my bones and uncomfortable in my own skin. I have the football turf booked tonight, so I have to go to that, and I'm going to try to be active, but I'll very likely lie on the turf and whine for the whole hour

So sorry you are sick :/ Bleck! I know how you feel....What you're describing sounds similar to what I had. I had that uncomfortable feeling along with a mild temp and it just felt gross. Then the coughing started Hope you don't start hacking like I was

I barely have an appetite (or thirst...) because of this throat... I know I gotta drink lots of water but it's such a chore. I'm just waiting for my stomach to get involved.. I know it's gonna happen... this weekend I ate so much I was pretty mean to it, it needs to revolt... sooner than later would be great..... lol
The good news is that my breathing isn't being affected at all and I don't have much of a headache or a temperature... it's just yucky feeling and sandpaper-fire-throat. Energy is pretty non existant too.BluePrint Believer!

Had fun at the indoor turf field today... was nice to get out and be active... didnt work too hard but definitely got a good sweat on. I was feeling not-sick afterwards, but now an hour and a half later I feel like I might be getting worse. Oops? Early bedtime for me!

Plan moving forward: No activity. Lots of resting and Netflix to happen. Reassess Saturday.
I hope these antibiotics make me feel better fast! Today I feel far more congested than previous days.
In my football related news: They're officially starting to prepare for the next Team Canada. "Team Atlantic" this year is going to be "Team New Brunswick", however ladies from all over the Maritimes are welcome to tryout. I emailed the coach and explained my situation (injured, surgery planned soon) and that I would like to be involved somehow anyways, and I'm waiting to see how that pans out.BluePrint Believer!

Feeling a little better and mildly motivated... so I'm planning my next workout routine. I've decided to go with 5x5 until surgery time, and I'm going to be trying to lose weight as well.
Workout #1
Squat - 60lbs - 5x5
Bench Press - 55lbs - 5x5
Barbell Row - 65lbs - 5x5
Workout #2
Squat - 65lbs - 5x5
Overhead Press - 45lbs - 5x5
Deadlift - 95lbs - 5x5
Workout #3
Squat - 70lbs - 5x5
Bench Press - 60lbs - 5x5
Barbell Row - 70lbs - 5x5
Workout #4
Squat - 75lbs - 5x5
Overhead Press - 50lbs - 5x5

I actually did neither.... I tried to make good food choices but there was so much temptation. And I wasn't able to stay up very late cause the time difference was brutal... but the main reason I didn't party hard is that a friend of mine was supposed to meet me in the airport from the other side of Canada... and she never showed up, didn't tell me anything... so she's either dead or the biggest a.hole I know. It really ruined the fun part of the trip for me.
Since i've been back I've hit up a few workouts, I'm trying to get back into the lifting steady - I'll post up the 5x5 workouts I've done sometime soon. Same with the pictures I still haven't uploaded...
Also.. I'm totally getting chunky again. My pants are starting to not fit anymore. I'm getting close to 170lbs on some occasions. I really gotta buckle down!! But... food is soooo gooooooddddd lol. I NEED to make time to do some cardio and get back in the groove. Gotta make up a new daily routine... That will be this weeks goal I thinkBluePrint Believer!

Yea, it was quite frustrating and upsetting...
Since I started the 5x5 I reset my weights cause I'm basically starting all over again... things are still really light. I'm taking about 30 seconds rest between sets. I gotta be careful with my knee AND my shoulder so I'm taking it slow... which works right now because I'm rather unenergetic and if I had to push heavy weights I may flake out more often.
Tonight I play on the turf doing football drills
Tomorrow I will attempt to do another 5x5 workout. May need a rest day though if I'm sore from the turf.
My left quads been hurting, but I think that's cause my pants are too tightBluePrint Believer!
