There's more to nutrition then the ~10 nutrients on a nutritional label.
Ingredients matter when it comes to health. Don't listen to all the bro science on here that says otherwise. When it comes to weight loss and muscle growth then yes macros are most important but when it comes to health there are around 100 nutrients that are important and it's also important to avoid certain ingredients and chemicals.
It's impractical for a normal person to know which chemicals/additives/ingredients are healthy/unhealthy.
The 2 ingredients that cause the majority of problems when it comes to diet in north America are vegetable oils and high fructose corn syrup. Avoid these 2 things at all costs and you will be doing better then 99% of americans.
High fructose corn syrup can be listed as glucose-fructose as well.
Avoid all vegetables oil. Don't buy into the marketing behind Canola oil or any other vegetable oil being healthy for you even olive oil. Observational studies on populations consuming olive oil being healthy is what is driving the propaganda behind olive oil. Guess what? It was observational studies on unhealthy populations that caused the fear mongering behind saturated fat.
There are a bunch of other things you should be avoiding but honestly those are the 2 biggest contributions(nutritionally) to health problems in north America.
