Quick question;
Do you have an agent for your fitness shoots? And what did you do to get involved in the industry? I'm planning on getting some head shots done at the end of the summer (when I finish out my cut) and sending them out/going to some open calls in the city. Was curious to see how people get involved in the industry

No, I don't have an agent. As I was saying on your thread when we talked about school, I pretty much figured my way around. Also, I got involved in the industry by reading and researching everything! As you guys can see, I have no hired personal trainer and I go to a corporation gym once per week. All other workouts are done at my own personal home gym- nearly fully equipped. I do all of my own training though extensive research and experimentation. Also, I like to email supp companies and get my name out there. Sometimes they send me free samples, tshirts, congratulations letters, etc. I also get my name out their with instagram. Though I only have roughly a hundred followers, I know a few popular personal trainers, bikini designers, and others in the industry who follow me and help get my name out there!

Appreciate the information! Definitely going to be of some use to me!
Of course, I should probably get with the instagram flow. Don't really use it as often as I should, unfortunately. But I guess now I have an incentive to start tinkering with it more.
Sounds kind of like what I was planning on doing, though Thanks~

Hey y'all! I weighed in at 121.2 this morning. I will only be taking weight once a week on a day that has yet to be chosen--probably wednesday. Due to circumstances beyond my control, my keto menu for today looks a little bland, but that's okay because I am an egg loving freak! I went and conquered at the gym today with a heavy back and shoulders day! With the help of some Nutrex Niox, I had veins popping out and a pump I didn't know could exist!! Also, didn't get my run in last night, so I am headed out to play a little soccer before I go and watch Deliver us from Evil!
Insert obligatory stupid face pic here:
Today's Nutrition: - not completely done yet, I have about 300 calories yet
-9 eggs- likely will have eggs, mustard, and veggies to finish off the day
-6 slices bacon
-1 tbsp coconut oil
-1 cookies and cream quest bar
-2 cucumbers
Funny story about the quest bar. I have always head of people broiling them for ultimate goodness, so while I fried my bacon, I popped it in the microwave for 3 minutes. It cookiefied. It was a giant chocolate chip cookie, bigger than a softball and absolutely delicious!

I swear everyone is out to get me! I was sabotaged by my boyfriend's mom today! I usually drink diet citrus tea for my sodium, and unbeknownst to me- the diet and regular bottles of the tea are almost identical. I got to the bottom of the bottle only to realize I drank 33 sugary carbs, not I lie here with a stomach ache and a net carb count of 60 for the day. Oh, how do I fix this? I guess I will have HIIT tonight. Goodie Goodie.

From Lazy Honor Student to Captain of the Powerlifting Team.
I have been obese for as long as I can remember. When I was three years old, I was in the shopping cart at Walmart with my mother. We were approached by a strange man and he then proceeded to ask my mother if she fed me whole chickens. As a child, it’s considered normal and cute to have a little chub. Well, at my level of “chub” I was often compared to a fully grown Sharpe. As an honors student all through elementary and onto middle school, I never gave consideration into what went into my mouth. Hey- Mother always told me that grades came as a first priority. By the time freshman year came around, I finally made a realization- I was the biggest girl on campus. At thirteen years old, five foot three, and about one hundred and ninety pounds, a high school campus was not the friendliest place to roam. Being the nerdy girl and the honors kid, I found comfort from the teasing among other so called nerdy kids. During that time I became an award winning public speaker via my local FFA chapter. As I became more and more involved in speaking, I used food as a comfort. When I won, there was always a celebratory meal at a buffet, ohhh, but when I lost.. I would binge to no end. Towards the end of freshman year, I met a boy who was a speaker as well. Long story short, we started dating. As we dated for six months, he stuffed my face, he LOVED to feed me. Pop tarts, milkshakes, burgers, McDonalds, he ALWAYS had food for me. There was no end, and he would not take no for example. Needless to say, my weight shot up. My only savior is when he went to boot camp for the National Guard. I stood by his side for three months, writing letters and sending packages. The day he graduated from camp, he called and broke my heart. He had been dating someone else. I was infuriated and felt isolated. My first instinct was to turn to food to fill the void. Luckily, I had a sense of revenge in my system. I wanted to show him that he lost the best thing he would ever have. I started researching weight loss and fitness. I bought a pair of running shoes and downloaded MyFitnessPal. From September 2012 to February 2013, I ate at a deficit and ran on average 30 miles a week. In this timeframe I dropped down to 150 pounds and from there, I maintained for a while. Realizing this wasn’t good enough, I started incorporating bodyweight exercises and upped my water intake. During March of 2013, and weighing in at 135 pounds- I met the man who unlocked my passion for fitness. That March, I met my current boyfriend of 1.5 years. When we met, I could obviously tell he was what I referred to as a “weightlifter.” Having always secretly desired the physique of a “lifting woman,” I wished to try this so called “lifting.” This is when I decided that I could grow muscle on 1400 calories a day and doing bodyweight exercises because I didn’t have gym access. Boy, was I wrong. But all of the bodyweight sessions my boyfriend and I did, along with his support, I dropped down to a twig at 118. Let me tell you, it is a fact that at five foot three, and no muscle. I looked extremely gaunt and unhealthy. I continued with my bodyweight exercises until December of 2013. I upped my calories and decided to maintain at one hundred and twenty-five pounds. During January of this year, I thought that doing the “Insanity” program would lead me to the physique I so desperately craved. I knew that women needed to lift heavy and in a caloric surplus to gain muscle. I considered insanity while holding 5lb dumbbells in each arm to be lifting heavy… Oh boy, I was so silly back then. In February of this year I was finally donated everything I needed for an official home gym. I was given a barbell, 500 pounds of plates, an ez curl bar, dumbbells, a weight bench, ankle weights, etc. All of this is thanks to my wonderful significant other. Having a reddit account, I used the search feature and got all of the information I needed that has lead me to be successful. I started bulking straight off the bat to use my “noob gains” to my advantage. I ate about 2400 calories a day and performed Starting Strength three days a week. During this time, I FINALLY saw changes that were leading to my “goal” physique. Around the month of April, word was spreading around school that I lifted weights. I am 99 percent sure I got bullied more for this than I did for being overweight. BUT! Apparently word got out to the right people, I was approached by the powerlifting coach of the boy’s team. He said he heard that I lifted and he wanted to see what I could do. I was ecstatic! I finally was getting credit instead of criticism. During my interview, I guess that is what I would call it, I was asked to squat, bench, and deadlift for the entire boys’ team. This is where the nervousness set in. But, I knew I had to prove myself. I loaded up the bar each time with more weight than I knew I should have, but I had to prove myself. During that interview, I blew some of their records out of the water- for my respective weight class. The coach was so intrigued by what a girl could do, he offered me two things. He was going to start a girls’ team for this upcoming year, and he offered me the captain’s spot. This offer is what lead me to where I am today. I am constantly focusing on form, giving it my all, and making sure my nutrition is on pointe. I am planning to step on an NPC stage in April of next year, just two months after the state powerlifting competition. For me, the journey never stops. There will be no end weight, no “ending lifts”, I can always improve myself. All through this journey, I have noticed- I stopped having depression, I ended my ED (binging/mia), and my grades have risen. Lifting is extremely therapeutic for me, and I attribute myself beating my Eating disorder to it. I plan to obtain my personal trainer \ and Registered Dietician certifications. I also have plans for a petroleum engineering degree, as I am taking a few classes that peak my interest. As I progress on to graduate school, I will become a physical therapist, and as my end result- I plan to own and operate my own health club. My current goal in life is to place in the top five in my height class this coming April. Also, if yall didn't already know, I have one year left of high school, two years left of college for dietetics, and three for engineering.Competing this August with the NPC.
