Took my playing test to try and get my teaching pro cert today. (I'm bored just playing apparently) had to shoot under 160 for two rounds.
78-78-156. Now just got to pass the written test...no its not the PGA one, not looking to make a career out of it, just do some local group clinics with a pro buddy who suggested I get the cert.

Go with a range finder instead of a GPS, much more practical and accurate in my opinion. I have a Callaway/Nikon I paid about $300 for, I also have a Bushnell that is bigger that I paid $400 or so for. I like the Callaway better, I think a member wants to buy the Bushnell off me. Side by side they shoot to within a yard of each other.
I was standing on the 36th hole thinking I could make a triple and still pass,(awesome thought I know) I made par with a rather simple up and down after I missed the green on the good side.
Jimenez and single Rory would be fun to hang out with, chain smoking, drinking and banging out Scottish broads all over the place. I'll be right over.

broke 100 for the first time last night. 97. pretty happy. 5 pars, 5 bogeys, 5 doubles, 3 triples.
never had a birdie before, and had four birdie putts last night. two from about 15 feet and two from about 35 feet. bad reads on the 15 foot putts, and just missed the two longer putts.
soon...Rog crew

So going to finally get fitted for a set of irons and not pay too much control over the price to ensure I get the right irons for my play style. Been looking hard into AP2's, don't really want to go full blades but I will if it fits my game te best.
Shot an 81 for my full first round back after not playing for 4 months when I was deployed. Not a bad round at all lol, lost one ball but had 8 one putts.Georgia Bulldogs/Orlando Magic/Miami Dolphins/UCF Knights/BoSox

I got fitted earlier this year and really wanted to get AP2 or the CB's if I ended up with Titleists. Hit them both so so, by far and away hit the Ping S55's the best. At that level of club I its really all about having the right shaft and personal preference. I don't think you can go wrong. My only advice is don't FORCE a club on yourself then find out it doesn't work for you.

Dude the CB's look like gold to me especially the new models they look amazing. I'm not going to force anything. The only reason I say ap2's is because I've played with them when I was in Hawaii because of my friend and the yardages were the same as well as control. I'm definitely going to try a couple different irons over the next few weeks but so far I've already tried the new nike, Adams, call away, Tietlist and mizuno iron sets.

in on second thread....
kind of disappointed i havent really elevated my game from last year. I did get a SLDR and love it. Im hitting the ball off the tee better but irons have been inconsistent. They were the strong point in my game last year so its kind of weird to be struggling with them.....the world of am golf.** Misc Cigar Crew **

In. Really trying to get better. Going to the range and trying to fix my swing. I had a great day last week where I felt great and was getting better distance. I went to play at a private club my friend works at and lost my swing.
Last year I spent more money on spilled liquor in bars than 99% of miscers make in a year.

Played around with a few counterbalanced putters today. Not sure on them yet but want to get a new putter just haven't met the right one yet.
So here's my question I want some feedback and ideas. This is my bag and I'm getting ready to dump my 60 wedge as its high bounce (13.5) and I barely if ever have a use for it. So I have room for one more club...thoughts or suggestions. Driver and 3W are Callaway XHots, hybrids are RBZ's, irons to PW are Ping S55's, 52 and 56 are Vokeys and the 60 degree is a Ping G20.
Driver
3W-260
3H-230
4H-210
5i-190
6i-178
7i-166
8i-155
9i-145
PW-135
52-118
56-105
LW-90
Yes those are accurate distances within a couple yards with no wind, my natural flight is a 2-5 yard draw. I spend a lot of time on the range.
I have some ideas where to add an extra stick but before I say them I want to hear what others think.
Thanks in advance
