All that other stuff is impressive. I've played #2 it's humbling for sure. But Augusta? Who does he know because it's virtually impossible to get on there! I get annoyed when I hear someone got on there. You have to be a god or know one to even have a chance to get on Augusta. I expect pics. That's golf porn at its finest.

I am so damn frustrated with my game recently. I think I am going to quit for a couple of weeks or a month and focus on other things. I started playing seriously last year after not playing for 3-4 years and had gotten to the point where I was consistently breaking 90, my drives were solid and it was mainly my short game and putting holding me back from breaking 80. Then, I had one round where everything went almost flawlessly and I shot a 76!! Beating my previous best by 10 strokes! And this was on a course that had tight fairways with OB on the right throughout. Since then and for the past 4 months, it has been a disaster. I shot one 86 and have been in the 90s during my other rounds. I can't hit my driver to save my life and make simple mistakes on the easiest of shots. I can find a rhythm for 3-4 holes sometimes, but forget about it lasting an entire round. And the thing is that I am hitting it well at the range so it's completely a mental thing now. It's the most frustrating thing to be out on the range flushing 5 shots in a row to within 5-10 yds of the target and then shooting a fuking 94 right after that, losing 5 balls off the tee. I think a break is in order to reset my priorities in this game...

    Red face

What golf clothing (mainly polo shirts) do you guys wear?

I have 1 adidas, 1 nike, 2 under armour, but recently they have become too big as I lost a reasonable amount of fat.

Also I think the fits of these shirts are a bit baggy and a slightly slimmer fit may be better.

Not too bothered about price, obviously the cheaper the better!

I'll help the thursday after it is finished. I'll even wear a kilt and bring bagpipes and say I'm a Scotsman. Will that work?

Played my home course today but from a hybrid set of tees meant for high mens hcp's over 20...(combo of whites and senior tees basically) took my driver, 3w and 3hybrid out, just played it with all irons and a 4 hybrid. was about 6200 yards. Not going to lie I struggled to make pars. Shot 40 for 9 holes. Good practice though,.Hit 6 iron, 8 iron, wedge into one par 5 that played about 490. Makes one seriously think why even bother hitting driver if I can get in trouble with it and probably can't get there in 2 anyway. Just to point out how stupid I am (and probably others) standing on a tee with a much better chance of hitting an errant drive then getting there in 2. There is something to say for good course management.

just played local course, guy goofed on price so was $10 to walk including push cart plus had a PB shooting an 81, which was a miracle because my putting was horrendous today. out of 18 holes i had 15 2-putts, and 3-putt, BUT a couple of those 2 were misses for birdies still my best round by eliminating flop shots and wasting shots close to the green

bbest shots were 1) after a very errand 2nd shot that landed on adjoining hole's tee box so had to take a lob wedge over a big tree and it landed <5 feet away, making par

and driving the green on a 321 yd par 4

thank god 2 putted birdie on that one, was very close to being a 3 putt for par.. would been piiisssssseeed

It depends what you mean by not that good. Theyre much more forgiving than their reputation, but if you usually hack your way around a course theyll make it worse. Should be fine if you can shoot an 81, and at that price id go for them. They will make you a better ball striker.

Also I think the fits of these shirts are a bit baggy and a slightly slimmer fit may be better.

Not too bothered about price, obviously the cheaper the better!
Some Puma shirts have a more tailored fit to them, but they're pricy.

Puma looking like a good bet, will check them out as well as Nike, Adidas, UA, Footjoy, maybe other brands like Ashworth, Glenmuir.

I wish clothing websites told you the size the models were wearing!

    Thanks guys!

This is why I havent played with a driver in 2 years

They are a little bit tight on the quads but give me plenty of room for the boys and have a more tapered/modern fit than the other makers. I'm like 185 now and I size down on them. I wear a 32 when I normally buy a 34.

So i took the 913 to the range... cannot believe how much driver technology has come on. I'm hitting a solid 30-40 yards further with it and there is so little spin off the club face.

I'm so used to the heavier 975 it feels like the shaft is going to snap on every strike :S
