came to the same conclusion last squat workout.
does anyone have experience with hip / shoulder imbalances? i had an injury earlier in the year which left me unable to bench for awhile. basically was unracking the bench and felt a huge pop in my right upper trap.... needless to say things are pretty much back to normal but i can't really dip any more without feeling a slight pain pang. it definitely feels like it has to do with my clavicle on my right side. i've heard it is a 'common' issue regarding weight lifters where the clavicle bone slowly degrades, causing various issues.
my physio didn't spot anything, but I'll be seeing the doctor about it soon and see if I can get a referral to an orthopedic. I'm very certain it's there and i'm positive it's currently a large limiting factor for me. I've read it's a pretty easy fix surgery wise.. not to say that's the answer I'll obviously have to wait and see the outcome of whatever the docs say. but yea, anyone got any experience with this (or similar) issues?

Yes, sir. I was primarily squatting in the flat soles through my July meet, and them switched back to give the Romaleos a consistent try. And even though low bar isn't typically suited for squat shoes, I wanted to try them given my narrow-ish stance. It becomes an issue when I get deeper than just below parallel. Now, this off season, I'm making it a point to improve my depth and that's when I started feeling the forward shifting of the weight.

one weird trick
derived from an ancient fijian secret
scientists hate me
kava.
lol, but honestly its too early to tell, especially since I was working with my 7 reppers yesterday. Whenever people said "don't flare your elbows" it just never made sense to me. It would made me do some kind of weird wide-close grip bench. Yesterday I tried thinking of having mini-balloons in my armpits and trying to pop them as I brought the bar down. Bar came down much faster and I could feel my lats far more engaged on the bottom than normal.ig: @monkaycrak

Ok, I could see how they could be an issue with both the mechanics of the sqaut and the bottom ROM for the LBBS.
I thought I was going to get insightful knowledge as to why I should'nt use them, but I squat primarily in a high bar/oly style and do front squats. They can be done without them, but I enjoy using them.
I'd ask if you tried pulling in your romaleos but you pull sumo, correct? My Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169516313

6 RPE, maybe 5. Want to start in easy and hopefully work up as I am cutting right now. Goal is hopefully pushing towards 600x2 by March or so
P.S. You're on spread and your rep comment is actually true again now.
Edit: apparently I was being slow. Thanks everyone. Recovery has been fine. Nothing serious, but ended up taking roughly 2 months off DLing and over a month off of back work. Crappy family genes, but as long as I stay on top of it then nothing serious should come of it.Last edited by Lvisaa2; 12-22-2014 at 04:17 PM.

@casey
any preference between sumo or conventional? Your lifts all look awesome though. Fun to see your on your 4th cycle of 531 already.
Hit 305 for 3 doubles on squats today. Proceeded to hit 365x4 and 370x3 on beltless deads afterwards. I've been really focused on upper back tightness on deadlifts, and while it makes it feel slow off the floor, once its up, there's no doubt that its going to lock out.ig: @monkaycrak

YOU ONLY YOLO ONCE
But srs, when I first was coming up with this, I had planned on doing 3 on 3 off ( yes that would have meant squats and bench on consecutive days, but bench on squat day is low volume and squats on bench day are super low volume) and I wanted the day off to follow deadlifting (especially since I knew I would get DOMS re-inserting the conventional deadlift into it). But now that settled on doing 1 on 1 off, it really wouldn't have matter how I ordered the days.
