    Incline bench today...




    175. Highest I've ever gone on incline bench. Unfortuantely the guy spotting me had his hands on the bar, so I don't consider it a PR. I assumed that he would keep them off since I've spotted him numerous times in the past, always without hands on the bar.

    Sumo for too long...no bueno for my hips. Been running Sheiko with conventional for the last two months (R.I.P. erectors), and I test ran my sumo. So...much...easier. 405 felt like a speed DL. I've seen a lot of really good DLers (depends on who you talk to) suggest running the opposite of what you do until you're close to a competition then switching back.

    Also, 500x5 "EASY"...:'( dafuq...

    Sumo for too long...no bueno for my hips. Been running Sheiko with conventional for the last two months (R.I.P. erectors), and I test ran my sumo. So...much...easier. 405 felt like a speed DL.     Probably had another 2-3 in me, and I realize last set is 5(+), however it also seems like he places emphasis on starting lower than capable and working into it, so I'll likely begin with final sets be + sets in the next week or two.

    Yep. Pulling 2x a week was too much for me.

    Oh yeah - 545 x 3 today. Couldn't fit all 3 reps into IG because that shiit was heavy.

    Sheiko and his boys have dismissed the current Sheiko train of thought that's out there, so follow the above. Also:
    - Accessories, like DB flys, aren't meant to just "stretch." People have said this a lot, and I never understood why. Pick a decent weight and treat it like any accessory on any program. These are basically your hypertrophy exercises. Why waste all that time doing 5x10 stretching?
    - The program is very, very adaptable. Sheiko encouages it. You can swap out regular squats for pauses, change bench to pin presses, use higher reps for hypertrophy, add backoffs, etc. It's all possible within reason. The actual forums discuss how to do a lot of it, and it's worth reading through.

    DLing for my erectors has been a bitch, so I've been trying to go through it, but I'm also only doing 335-355x4x2 on pause DLs, which is like your warmup's warmup. I'm sure if I had a man's DL it'd be better.
