Lol @ all of the assumptions.
No I didn't "Crash diet". It was 30 lbs over the course of 4 or so-ish months.
and I didn't lose 100lbs off of my 5RM. I hit 265lbs for 5 x 3 last week, yesterday called for lighter squatting.
(And yes, I did injure my right vastus lateralis about 5 weeks into my cut which prevented me from squatting/deadlifting heavy for a period of about 2-3 weeks)

It's diminishing, it was hard to take the break from squatting/deadlifting (any sort of lower body work) for those few weeks. But I feel like if I continued to train on it, it would've done more harm than good.
Very confident that my strength will start to return as I figure out my work/school schedule and get my routine dialed in.
Thanks brother.

lol it was 2 people, calm down. and given the context they - the assumptions - weren't all that outlandish.
and my post even said (barring the obvious, injury and whatnot...)
i know this is a dear diary for some but i don't visit this thread all the time hence why... barring something like an injury/illness/etc.... it seemed odd to lose nearly 100lbs off a 5rm. also hence why i phrased my post in questions...

I tore my hamstring, got my knees all fuked up, and didn't squat for almost 3 months but I didn't lose 100 lbs off my 5RM.

I'm so stoked about yesterday's workout. Sheiko had me doing 240x2x2, 255x3x2, and 240x2x2 for 1-second paused bench. Weights felt really easy, so I decided to test my touch and go bench on 225. My record before was 9 reps. I GOT 12! Weight was at 167. My gym is throwing a mock meet in the next month, so I'll see where my maxes at. Should have vids.
Fuh. Mad jells.“Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!" So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”

Alright, mock meet on January 3rd. After that, I gotta figure out what I want to do, and I think want to test being a little nuts and run smolov jr. for high-bar squats and bench at the same time. Or maybe smolov jr. for bench and regular smolov...
Thanks, bruh.
Make sure you run the new Sheiko programs, not the old ones floating around. The new ones > old.
Are you going to attempt more if they feel easy?Last edited by PerpetualMotion; 12-13-2014 at 04:35 PM.

Some recent lifts
Squats 260x2 on saturday and OHP 100x5 yesterday. Did 2 doubles at 260 and the ohp was an amrap set after which I got 2 doubles lol (tris were just too fried, this was after CGBP).
I think my biggest fear would be going down and hearing riiiiiiiiiip. Especially since adidas track pants aren't cheap

Sheiko had me workin' up to my "old" maxes, but I felt it out. PRed huge and hit 295 for a comp. bench, but it was a solid 3-4 second grinder. Went to DL, hit 500, thought it was easy fuh, and smoked 515. Still in the process of peaking. I'll have vids of my mock meet on Jan. 3rd.
I scrolled from the bottom up, and I legit thought, "100x5 isn't too bad for a guy." LOLed when I realized it was you. Damn good OHP.
Nice work, bruh.
For a second I thought you said you hit 440 for 10 reps...“Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!" So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”

Cycle 3 of 5/3/1 is in the books and up +30lbs for all 4 lifts compared to last cycle.
Went 4/4 on PR's again this week so I couldn't be happier.
Bench Press is actually -5lbs from last week, however form was corrected & full ROM was utilized this week, so I still consider it a new best.
Top Lifts of the Week
Press - 205 x 1
Deadlift - 450 x 1
Bench Press - 315 x 1
Squat - 350 x 1
