Workout plan with c4 and gold standard

So I'm currently a junior in college, 5' 7' and weighing just under 180 pounds. I'm looking so lose a lot of my excess weight and gain muscle. Last semester I bought c4 to improve my workouts but I'm looking to go even further I want to buy gold standard increase my results. However how should I go by doing this? Should I take gold standard before and after a workout or during? I've seen all of these done. Also should I use gold standard to replace meals? I feel like if I take gold standard and don't use it to replace a meal I will gain a lot of weight which I don't want.

Go to the nutrition section and learn about managing your macros. You're not supposed to use whey protein to replace your diet, you use it to supplement your diet. Meaning if you aren't able to reach your daily protein intake through your regular diet, only then should you worry about a protein shake. In regards to before/after workout it doesn't really matter that much but I like to drink a whey/oats shake when I get up so I can some protein/carbs for some energy for my workouts, then I usually have another just mixed with water post workout. But as I said, mainly just focus on getting your daily macros (calories-proteins/carbs/fats).

you will not lose a ton of weight and gain muscle
    Losing Fat/Weight = Caloric Deficit
    Gaining size/strength/muscle = Caloric Surplus

Pick a goal and chase it.
