Vacation and lost a pound? Impressive! Usually when I vacation I'll gain 10+ pounds per week lol ><

I just weighed myself this morning, and I LOST a pound!

So I was able to eat at maintenance for a week before vacation, and play it by ear for another week, and still come out ahead. This reminds me of way back when I first did Weight Watchers. I was 235 lbs. Over about 3-4 months I got down to 170. Towards the end it was VERY slow going. When I hit my goal weight, I started maintenance. I actually lost a couple more pounds that first week, when the month before (during the deficit) I maybe lost half a pound a week. I wonder if this is a similar situation, where my body just needed a break from the deficit?

This doesn't mean I'm quitting calorie counting or macros. I'm jumping right back in today. I'm going back into the deficit as well. It does encourage me though, that I will be able to handle my maintenance and bulking once I get to the body fat % I want to be at.
Nice job mate, I was beginning to wonder about you ^.^ I'm doing the 'refeed' thing soon (aka it's my bday and I'm going to binge eat at a nice restraunt, lol). Hopefully I can come out on top like you

Thanks guys. Here's yesterday's log. Not having food prepared (because we just got back from vacation) made protein intake hard. Have to get more cooking done Tonight will be my first full weight lifting workout since getting back. Hope I won't be too sore afterwards

Here's yesterday's log. Got more protein in.

Did my workout. Definitely lost some leg strength over vacation, but otherwise it went well.

Here's yesterday's log, plus an added bonus

Last night my wife found my "before and after" pictures from 2001 when I did Weight Watchers. Not sure how long this took. 3-6 months I think. I'm not really crying in the first picture. Just trying to be silly.

Back from some more vacation. Same plan as last time. Worked on being careful but didn't count or measure. Didn't weigh myself this time. Gonna wait a month to see where I am. Started right back into counting and measuring yesterday. Also got right back into weights. Here's the food log:

I'm still doing well, but very busy. I've decided to just check in once in a while and share how I'm doing.

Currently I'm tweaking my diet to lower my sodium. Also, my wife got a LOT of ground beef on sale, so I'm going to have to work on keeping my fat down and not eat too much of it. I'm not against fat. It's just hard to keep your macros balanced with too much fat on a deficit.

Also, I read a review about a movie that involved cannibalism. I wasn't seeking it out. It just happened to be on a movie review site I frequent. Now the idea of eating meat is grossing me out. I might need to be vegetarian for a few days, which will make protein intake a challenge.

So, I was perusing some recent movie reviews, and came across the re-release of Cannibal Holocaust. Never. Ever. EVER google Image search "Cannibal".

Hours later, I had to force down the meat in my no-shell taco salad and almost hurled. I think I may seriously be a vegetarian now. Not sure if you can build muscle effectively that way

Over a year later and falling off the wagon, and I'm back. Too many binges and false starts.

I am currently at 193 lbs. I'm doing Stronglifts 5X5, light cardio, and eating at a deficit (1,800 calories). Getting in 45% carbs, 30% protein, and 25% fats. Eating about 80-90% clean. Trying intermittent fasting today.

    Current pictures are attached.

I had a GREAT workout this morning. I tweaked my Stronglifts 5X5 to do 8 reps instead of 5, and it went well!

I did 15 minutes of cardio on the stationary bike, and then got all my food ready for the day. I'm trying intermittent fasting, and won't be eating until 2pm. This is my second day. Yesterday I had a bit of a headache. We'll see if today's better. If it persists, I'll go back to eating every 3 hours.

Best of all, my weight went down from 193.8 to 192.6 I know, it could just be water weight, but I'm going to be excited anyway!

Down from 193 to 192.8 this morning. That's from 193.6 three days ago.

Had my first tough lifting set. 60 lb overhead press. 5 sets of 8 reps.
