Penneta played well but an in form Halep would've won the match (maybe im biased a bit here). Halep just looked like she didn't even want to be there. Uncharacteristic amount of unforced errors and no tactics. Had she played yesterday, maybe she would've won. Penneta would've been a lot more tired having played a singles and a doubles match on Wednesday. Annoys me even more now because this would've been a great chance for her to win a grand slam with Serena now being out.

Yep. You have to wonder if the pressure really got to her. Maybe she was looking past Pennetta and thinking about meeting Serena in the finals.

At any rate, good for Pen and Vinci. Played their asses off by all accounts and deserve to play for the trophy.
