Ill have to throw in the Aus 2017 in there as well. both players had their ups and downs but the 5th set was incredible. also from a historical perspective it seems to have been very important, rafa was at 14 at the time i believe and roger at 17. if rafa wins that its 15 to 17. rest of the year finishes the same and its 17 to 18 and its too tight to call. instead fed wins and its off to the races.

Will be an amazing accomplishment if he can catch and pass Connors’ 109 wins. At this rate it looks like (no jinx) Fed has a real chance of playing in Tokyo in 2020. I hope his body can hold up. It would be an epic end to his career if he could finally win that elusive singles gold medal.
