You think that is small, my lotus is 11" shorter than the Ultima, same ht, and width aprox. Here is a pic of it next to a superfast.
Love the ultima and been following mingray's posts. Just not sure I am committed to a build of one. Happy to watch him have fun with it and live vicariously through him!

Very happy with it! I went to the gym with it last week and a guy goes, "Jesus man, did you just drive here from LeMans?" There are Lambos and Ferraris everywhere down here, so it's nice to have something different. It is not a comfortable car by any means though. It's hard to get in and out of, it's very hot inside even with the AC on full blast, but it just hauls the mail and corners just as well. I'll be going to a private drag event later this month so I'll be sure to gather some photos/videos.

Thanks man. Yeah it's definitely very small. The interior is TINY so I just have to be very careful I never get hit in it.

Excited to finally get this all back together. I did some suspensions mods and while the car was out of service I got my wheels re-done. I let my son pick and he chose white. Kinda going with that 'tuner' look which is a little odd for a brittish car. But heck, how many wide body lotus you see running around. I think it fits the car well!

Super excited to put out some of the suspension mods to the test. Next track day is about a month away!

But srs, this is my 99 Subaru Legacy Outback. Only has 96k miles on it, and those are new wheels I had put on it a month ago. I wanna lower it a little more tho.

Make it easier to take our son out camping. The wife and I are stoked.

Also broke down and threw some factory 4runner steps on. Felt bad watching my 5’2 wife trying to get our son situated in the car seat lol. They look a lot cleaner than the factory old lady steps imo.

Not my car, but my sons. He asked if he could go for drive last night. We worked on track prep most of the day yesterday as we have a 2-day event at VIR coming up.

He still needs to build more night hours under his permit. So we made a dash out for some food in his car. This kid will have top down in December, but nice evening for a little drive.

Santa brought my son a race car this year. Found it up in Maryland and did a Bonsai run there and back to pick it up. Not a street legal car. Raced SCCA, but we are taking it even further with significant mods. Dry sump oiling system, sequential trans and fully built motor. Should be in the range of 1750 lbs and 400 hp when done. When he is 16, we can start running 2 cars so preparing right now. Car should be ready for spring!
