Her name is 'Christine'.....
For those not aware Christine is a horror movie written by Stephen King about a teenage boy who falls in love with a beat up old car that turns out to be possessed by an evil spirit. After he rebuilds the car it goes out at night and kills the bullies tormenting it's owner.
Three months ago I was driving through an old industrial park when I saw 'Christine' sitting on top of a snowbank behind an auto shop.I was enchanted immediately. The shop was closed but her doors were open. The interior looked like a homeless man was using her for a winter cabin, there was dirt and garbage everywhere. The headlights and taillights were cracked and faded. The roof was so black I thought it was brown or tan.The windows on the passenger side were missing and the console was cracked wide open. But I knew there was nothing wrong I couldn't fix.
A few days later I stopped into the shop to see if Christine was for sale. The 75 year old woman who owns the shop said it was and she wanted $2500($1800US).I asked her if it was her car and she said it was her Fathers.I bertstared her for 20 seconds trying to imagine a 100 year old man behind the wheel of a sports car.I told her I would take her and drove her home later that day.
I found the headlights,console,and windows at the wrecking yards.I spent $1000 at rockauto.com on a new alternator,starter,belts,pulleys,distributor cap,wires,plugs,master cylinder,brake rotors,calibers,pads,shoes,drums,front and rear wheel bearings,and another $200 emission control components like the EGR valve,TBS,oxygen sensor,etc.
I've spent more than a couple of afternoons repairing the damage and installing new parts, but there is a certain satisfaction from taking a beat up old car no one wants and restoring her to her former glory.I know she's not as expensive or exotic as some of the cars posted here, but I absolutely adore her and I get compliments everywhere I go.If only that backseat was a little bigger tho.Last edited by EctoCanuck; 06-17-2019 at 10:51 AM.

Someone got a shot of both my NSX and Evora on the track. The 22 is for the mission 22 rally and track events that took place last weekend.

**** yeah dude that's sick! Mirin the rooftop tent so hard I want one so bad! The vq is a great engine and being able to fit 285s without any real modding is great. It's truly a shame Nissan discontinued the xterra and hasn't revamped the fronty in so long.
This is my third xterra. I had a 2002 (it was really my parents but I drove it a **** ton in hs) a 2006 se, and now my 2015 pro 4x. I do love the platform. I'm almost 31 and 3/4 cars I've had were xterras.
I will for sure do a vk swap on mine once I pay it off and run out of warranty. My xterra is so heavy with all the steel armor the v6 can struggle up hills and my gas milage is poop.
Once I get another daily driver it's Titan swap time boyoooo
Well to be honest it's all a dream for now I just got this thing a year ago and my gf and I just bought a house so yeah goodbye sweet spending money!
BTW, if you're ever looking for vendors I have had good experiences with nisstec lifts. It's pretty few and far between for us Nissan boys, especially the xterra.Last edited by freeburn; 07-28-2019 at 06:33 PM.

I hear ya dude! I'm running a 1.5in front 1in rear PRG lift currently. Looking at doing a wam winch mount next I think. And on spread but I'll hit you back. The tent is just a smittybilt but it's been great for the price and it was a deal (around 600 if I recall right)
Lol and I hear you there. I owned a home for a couple years. Spending money goes bye byeLast edited by Krackerjacked; 07-28-2019 at 09:04 PM.

Update:
I got rid of the Fiat 500 Abarth. At 65k miles it got 2 quarts low 1500 miles after an oil change. It was blowing smoke out of the exhaust with a blueish tint. I didn't bother doing an oil analysis or any pressure checks, I just got rid of it before something catastrophic happened. It was fun, but I'll never get another Fiat. They have terrible reliability ratings across the board.
picked up an MKVII GTI in its place

I just got mine out of Winter storage and currently doing a little TLC. I pulled the headlights to have them refinished & ceramic coated, added a new set of seat belts and new inner fender liners last week. This week, I pulled the interior completely out to have it detailed. I am hoping to have it all back together by my Birthday on Friday!
