tips that helped me:
1) not fapping - if i fap then sleep, i wake up with massive brain fog, i feel really groggy, like a hangover (the extra energy allows me to get out of bed quicker)
2) cold showering straight away - i get up from my bed and walk straight into the shower - nothing else before hand
3) once the shower/generally grooming is done i drink a big glass of cold water while taking my multi before preparing breakfast (body's not had any liquid for 7-8 hours at this point, gotta hydrate nomsayin)
not saying these will help for you OP, but they did for me

If you wake up before your alarm clock at all (even up to an hour), you should get up then because you've naturally come out of a deep sleep cycle. There's a much better chance you'll feel refreshed after waking then rather than initiating another sleep cycle and having an alarm wake you up in the middle of it.
I subconsciously am able to naturally wake slightly before I set an alarm most days and it's def a lot better than having to wake up to an alarm.

First of all, negs for badmouthing coffee
But one thing can vastly improve your mood on either sunny or briskly cold morning: a short walk right when you wake up in the morning, before you do anything else
This trick came from Arctic Explorer Roald Amundsen
He was leading teams in disastrously cold temps, with long nights, short days...and generally a depressing atmosphere. He devised a plan that he would set up a little contest. Right when the boys got up in the morning they would go out and do their arctic-y **** like hammering in poles or whatever...then they would guess the temperature just by feel. The guy who was closest would win special privileges. Although this was all fun and good, the whole thing was a ruse to get the men outside for a quick nip of fresh air with a positive attitude
I started trying this myself. Instead of showering, eating breakfast, drinking my coffee, THEN taking the pooch for a walk, I tried walking the dog right away. The quick bit of cool fresh air...the dew on the grass....the early morning sunshine...it's a natural way to stimulate your system into second gear srs. The colder the morning the better

Glass of milk before bed
Glass of water upon waking
At night slowly taper down the stimulation:
Turn down your lights
Turn the tv volume down
Install f.lux on your computer (google it)
Making your bed in the morning is great as well because at night you get to lie down in a fresh bed. Much better than a tangle of blankets.
A nice fan for some white noise.
Also about your sleep rhythm: wake up at the same time everyday! This should NOT be the varying part of your sleep rhythm. What SHOULD vary is the time you go to sleep.
Some days you are tired at 9:30pm? Go to bed. But wake up at 6am.
Some days you are restless and have a lot of energy and can't get tired until 1am? Go to bed at 1am. But still wake up at 6am. This will spill over to the next day and you'll probably be tired at like 10pm. Go to bed at 10pm. Still wake up at 6am the next day. This is critical. It smooths everything out and your body will get used to focusing around waking up at the same time day in day out and everything else will follow."Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor."
