I made it to lvl 10. FML more money wasted. Made it to lvl 12 on Archeage alpha 150$ wasted. No mmo will ever be the same now that im old haha.

I'm having a lot of fun. Started as Dominion on Avatus as a Medic healer and then after the first two weeks decided to try an Exile toon for fun (so I could play both sides for PvP). Ended up making a guild "Do You Even Lift" Exile side, same server. My warriors name is Lats, friends SS is Delts, and girl's name is Glutes. Basically, our guild is filled with our alts and we just play for fun. I think we are 16 on our "main" Exile characters. My friend and I rolled two jacked Human Stalkers this past weekend - Glutes is behind on leveling from reroll - named Bicep and Tricep. We had lots of lol's leveling purely in PvP on them.


Bottom line is, its tough to be hardcore anymore, so we are just taking our time and playing. He has two small children, and I have an ocean and 13 hours of time difference between me and the people I play with. We're relegated to Casual stuff. Once we hit 50, we'll see what's available, hopefully the Dungeons are doable for us and a couple pugs. If we can't do anything, then that will most likely spell our end and we'll go back to WoW. I swore that game off for selling level 90's, but if it gives me something to play with my two favorite gamers, then so be it. There isn't much out there that's multi-player and "casual friendly" that is still enjoyable.

i forced myself to level 17 and quit. Getting older you just realise these games are so repetitive and offer no real world reward. I would rather get rejected by 10 women only to bang a fatty at the end of the night than invest anymore time into these games.

It's not bad at all, it's just nothing special. Most people I've heard are playing it for a bit and then going back to what they have been enjoying playing more.

That's more or less what I expected. I laugh at the folks that this game was going to the 'The WoW killer'.

Every game that has come out since WoW became #1 has been a "WoW killer".

Nothing is going to kill WoW except for time. It has been around for so long and was so popular that it will never just die. Player base is too large and people feel they have too much invested in it. Not to mention that since WoW has such a large player base that that player base has enough variety in its taste of games that I doubt there will ever be a quick mass exodus to a single other game.

WoW simply managed to capture a lot of people and hold their attention. It is harder to do now because every MMO is trying to claim a certain fringe angle and there are so many coming out now. If you don't bring something new and edgy then why would anyone leave WoW? WoW just managed to cater to the masses and now everyone uses it for the standard so it is so hard to deviate from it and make the next knockout mmo.

I know some ex-ESO brahs are in this thread. I saw some ESO update came out to add some features for guilds and chit. Are you thinking of going back? How was ESO? Never played it but was a huge GW2 WVW fan. Worth picking up?

love the game but holy schit, stalker *** brah, need the claws from malgrave, must have run malgrave gold, like 20 times, still no claws, makes me rage everytime. think i did hear they are changing the loot rules though.

Started medic, healer alt for pvp and its fun pvping is probably faster than questing.

Loot rules changed today but theres LAG OF PEACE. 30-45 sec delays then random D/C. Someone said the servers are getting DDOS'ed, it would make sense because everything jacked right now.

Cash grab in a pay to win sense like it has micro transactions? Or just cashing in on the ESO name in general?

Was the PVP not epic? Was a huge DAOC fan and saw some ex devs worked on this and heard it was the closest to DAOC out of any MMO in recent years.

The PvP was garbage, the product was shoved out the door because they wanted a ROI as fast as possible. It is/was so horribly bugged/imbalanced that its not really playable to anyone who wants to play it as an MMO and be "competitive". The economy is completely shattered, there is no end-game content, the list goes on and on.


If you just want to play it as a multi player Skyrim type game where you can do stuff with a handful of buddies its fine but if you want to play it as a MMO its a joke, class balance is stupid and there is no way to fix it without completely gutting the cores of the classes and starting over.



Legitimate bugs that can be considered game-breaking that were KNOWN about in beta persist to this day. The game was either a beta-test for consoles or just a cash-grab on the ES IP.


Its a sad thing really.
