I need some clarification of teh new General Forum Rules

So I just read the "new" forum rules and apparently sexist remarks are bannable.


This should mean I whenever I read "sloot" on this forum the poster should be banned.

I'm interested in how this will turn out.

I also read this as it's not okay for me to call a female a sloot but it's okay for me to call CBB a sloot because we're both male and it's not sexist.


What if I call a transsexual a sloot?
Is that sexist?

I will call my legal team for clarification (the laws of do NOT Canada apply).

and what about sammiches?

I don't blame them... there is a lot of ugly sh*t here. I remember Punicepts had a thread about removing the misc altogether, which probably isn't a horrible idea.

I was just curious if there was a tipping point.

Basically this. Most posters can tell the difference between a joke between posters that have been bantering for a while and the right down ugly chit. General Misc is full of really ugly chit and people there aren't joking either. I remember when the news came out of a lot of sexual assaults on university campuses, and a list of the worst offenders, somebody posted something like "bishes out there are getting wet just thinking about applying there". That's not even the worst comment.
Although considering how far gone the General Misc has become, the only way mods can possibly enforce the rule is to ban 99.99% of posters there.

Here is my take on it, and I will get flamed for this but whatever. This is an open forum on a website that is owned by a private company. They could ban whoever whenever for whatever they want. We don't pay for the privilage to post here so there it is. However, to say that something offends you and a person should not say it is a very conceited concept. Why is your right to not be offended more important than their right to say it? And to claim moral decency, well that is just a matter of geography. A person can say whatever they like, and I can tell them I disagree with them as much as I want, but I most certainly don't have the right to force them to shut up.
